Saturdays used to be hectic and busy. I woke up early in the morning around 6:30 a.m, so as to meet up with the house chores. There is a public borehole that provides free water every Saturday and Monday. The water usually starts flowing at 7 a.m. and stops at 9 a.m. It is often crowded because the cost of purchasing a gallon of water is quite high, so everyone strives to fetch water from the free borehole.
I had to get my empty containers and the wheel barrow ready.
By the time I finished preparing and got to the tap, the water had already started running, and people were busy fetching with their containers.
I was actually surprised that the number of people fetching water had reduced, unlike what I used to experience before.
Take a look here
This prompted me to ask questions, and the answer I got was that most people had traveled home for the Christmas holidays. I was quite happy because this would allow me to fetch water more quickly without having to wait my turn like before.
These are the containers I used for storing water. Filling them wasn't easy, but I was determined to do it without taking too much time.
Pushing the wheelbarrow with the heavy gallons of water was not easy, I had to go back and forth about seven times to get the containers filled.
My nephew joined me with a small container that he could carry, and he was excited to fetch water with me.
By 8:40 a.m., I had already filled my containers and was happy to finish earlier than usual.
