It's interesting to know some locals were not happy with the sign. For me, I was impressed with the idea of making an unique experience for people when they visit Wellington. "There is no I in Wellington without you" is a brilliant way to promote the city and people can have fun too.

Sure, go ahead. I didn't come up with that phrase though, it has been around for a long time as a description of the Beehive. In fact, in this article from 2009 it was used to describe the Beehive as the world's third ugliest building, haha!
