RE: That Morning I Thought I Was Kid Again

The winter of 2017! I remember it well! I had two feet of snow in one storm!!! Now I have none, not for a few years.

There are so many happy memories attached to your writing. You have some of the best memories and I think winter was much different I have to wonder if it is through the eyes of a child. Thinking back, no, it is not. The snow was deep, even on my father.

The weather did evolve with age, but, I never looked at it as a deterrent, it just was. In the summer, we boated and fished, and swam in the ocean and it was fun, always. Even as an adult. In the middle years, if it snowed, we skied or went sledding, after we shoveled the driveway and sidewalks. I think I always accepted the weather as part of life.

Do I think there is global warming? It sure is showing great signs of it.

I think global warming cannot be contested. I hope it's not as bad as it seems. I have seen opinions that say it is pointless for civilized countries, i.e. where the inhabitants have the capacity to understand what is going on, to make these great efforts in stopping the causes that lead to the greenhouse effect while most of mankind does not respect anything.
I think, @dswigle, that we need to do everything we can to stop global warming.

I agree with you, Dan! I want to save our planet for our kids and grandchildren... and all the people of the world.
