Topic two: - What is the most unproductive habit you have, why do you do it/continue and have you tried to break the habit? What would your life look like if you eliminated it?
I remember when my mom came to visit during the holidays, in the early hours of the morning, you could hear her shouting at the top of her voice at me for constantly being on my phone when I was supposed to be doing something important at that time.
I could be eating and boom, I stretch to get my phone and forget I was eating at that moment. Same as washing clothes, if I just make the mistake of going into my room, then you are never going to see me for the next hours, anyone would think I am doing something important but if you come and check, you would catch me "pressing my phone".
This is the worst of them all, I mean, I have a lot of unproductive habits but this is an obvious truth. I can't stay away from my phone for a long time, it would be better to say that my phone is my best friend and best companion.
Today, I went out with 63% battery, not done anything important but I currently have 18% battery because I can not help but keep checking my phone multiple times.
The worst of it all is most times, there is absolutely nothing I intend to do with the phone at that particular time but fiddling with it and searching all the corners of the phone has become a habit I can not easily do away with.
I have tried to break free of these two habits but I can't, perhaps because I am always more alone than I find myself surrounded by people.
If I could break free from these two habits, completing all my offline tasks for the day would be easier and faster because my phone takes more of my time than anything or anyone else. I am always on the phone 24 hours. If my battery is low, I could go to the end of the earth to make sure I have a battery on my phone.
This is my entry to the second question on Weekend-Engagement topics: WEEK 171
PS: Image Is Mine
You got me laughing, We all have one bad habits or the other and for us to break free from every of it, we need discipline and a change of mindset
True, we need to work on it to help us break free though.
Thanks
Try to pray ha,ha,ha,ha, truly this vice has taken over humanity, many work with the cell phone, but others just waste time, I really ask from my heart that you can do your job and also leave some time for the cell phone. May you have the willpower to balance these habits, my friend @eliany
Lol, Thank you, I will try to do that.
