Hello dear friends, best wishes to all of you, I want to share with you, a nice family walk in the mystical waters of the Musui in Merida Venezuela.
How do we get there?
We left on Saturday from Merida capital, in a private vehicle at about 8 am and arriving to Mucuchies we found a billboard indicating the path of the Musui, as we can see:
Once we enter the road, we can see a variety of crops such as potatoes, long onions, vegetables among others, without forgetting the beautiful flowers among my favourites the calla lilies, at the end we find a series of houses, which rent parking whose cost is 1$.
Once there, the good service of the guides who make the place come to life begins.
When leaving the car park on the left hand side there is a dirt curve at the back, where we find the costs for each activity and at the same time a collection centre for the cancellation of the same, being inside the place they explain how the trip will be according to the tastes of each person and their economic means of course.
We decide to go with Fernando in Venezuela means walking, little by little and enjoying a warm and pleasant atmosphere, we find ruins of our ancestors, natural water springs, the path is covered with beautiful landscapes and is to admire the wild Andean blackberry, in the area come out species such as the rabbit and the moor deer when they see little population in their path.
The top is a bit high in my opinion, but for those who love heights it is a shot in the arm, but for sedentary people like me, it took me a while to get to the tower, sweating the fat drop as they say, but it was worth it.
Being in the tower you can admire the beauty of landscapes of different colours as if it were the traditional nativity scene, without a doubt I could not miss the photographs in these parts.
There we rested for about 10 minutes and started the family photo session, to continue on the flat road, so it was easier to access the hot springs.
It was noticed that there is maintenance in the place and various signs for visitors, including drinking water and toilets outdoors, where each person must open a hole to bury their faeces and then cover them, the used paper is thrown in a bag and is voted down the walk, that is the duty to be, caring and preserving the environment.
45 minutes was the pedestrian path and when we arrived we enjoyed the delicious hot springs in comfort, we arrived at about 10 in the morning, there were many visitors between Venezuelans and foreigners. A landscape of film, Venezuelan pride.
According to the testimonies of the guides, they explain that it is a natural volcanic water spring, which springs from the headwaters of the La Culata moor towards Mucuchies.
It is a recreational area outside the Sierra Nevada La Culata National Park which allows visitors to enjoy warm water to relax and enjoy nature to the full.
From the Musui we can observe the Sierra Nevada National Park, being in front of the Sierra La Culata National Park in it we can see the Bolivar Peak, Humboth, Concha of which belong to the five white eagles.
It is a special area to share with our loved ones, you can go camping and enjoy the hot springs for endless hours.
We were 2 hours in the water, when we got out it was terribly cold even though the sun was burning, near the wells there are double recycling changing rooms, that is to say, covered with black bags, when we dried off we shared some stuffed bread to then go down one step at a time, which is easier than the ascent, there you can admire every landscape in slow motion.
I invite you to admire one of the beautiful Venezuelan Andean landscapes, which does not have a departure time, so you can enjoy the freedom of nature at a good price, on weekends.
I used canva and the free translator deelp as my language is Spanish.
Muy buena experiencia!!! Gracias por compartir
A pleasant reunion with the family in the middle of nature.
Venezuelan pride.
