I think you're an exception as many growing up while experiencing crap parenting, become crap parents themselves and take what they got as kids out on their kids. I don't really understand this behavior because they did not like what they had to endure, yet they are doing the same.

I think I may have broken the mould (thankfully). Learn from the mistakes of the past and put it right.
Exactly! I hope many are like you as this behavior is wrong.
I hope so too, but I still see angry parents in public verbally bullying their small kids to tears, sad world we live in at times
