Spending the long weekend up North

in Weekend Experiences18 days ago (edited)

Hello hivers! So how's your weekend? It is already midweek, but let me tell about how I spent my weekend.

Mine was something to remember. Since it was a long weekend, we decided to travel up north and take a short vacation to my friends's hometown. I am so grateful to have found friends who treat me like their real family member even if it wasn't that long since I've known them.

Here's a short recap of our first day:

They fetched me from work at 6:30 am. They were stuck in a traffic jam, so I had to wait for a little while in front of the office building. And finally they arrived!

We had to take a photo so we could send it to the group chat to update the others that we are already on the way. They didn't have work at night so, they went ahead of us while were still working.

After 30 minutes of driving, we made a stop to grab some food for breakfast.

I ordered this Bistek breakfast set for myself and they had tapa and chicken.

Off we go and we hit the road again after our breakfast.

I used to lived South so I am really fascinated by the view while runninng down the expressway.

We drove for more than 4 hours and finally we arrived in Pangasinan. We were welcomed by the peaceful province life.

We had a hearty late lunch with lots of fish and seafood. When I looked behind their house, there is a big fish pond that I saw. So it explains why we were fed with lots of fish.

After lunch, we opted to have a nap to recharge and take a rest from the long-hour trip. I badly needed to nap because I still haven't had a sleep since the following night.

It was quarter to 4 p.m. when they woke me up. We were headed to Lingayen Beach to watch the sunset, and as soon as I heard the word 'sunset', I immediately awoken from my slumber and was ready to set off.

After just a few minutes, we were down the road again, and the views looks absolutely amazing.

Along the roads are vast fish ponds reflecting the golden light from the sun. It looks so aesthetic I can't help but admire it and took some snaps.

Unfortunately, we didn't catch the sunset, but we still enjoyed the view by the beach. There are lots of people because it was a holiday.

As the twilight approached, we drove back to another friend’s house for dinner, and wrapped up the long and tiring yet very memorable day.

We have more plans for the next day and you will see it in my next post!

All photos are mine.
