Hello weekend lovers all! How are you guys? I hope everyone is in good health! In every weekend, there will always be new stories and new moments that we got. I personally always hope that moment is something I can remember and can bring many new and exciting experiences. This weekend, my friends and I decided to take part in the city's annual program, namely a leisurely strolling with Pangkep residents around a predetermined area. This annual program is organized by one of the well-known political parties in my city. The aim is to unite all residents who live in different areas to just meet, greet, chit-chat and take a leisurely walk together. Our hope is to make the people of Pangkep town healthier and more productive on weekend.
All participating residents gathered in Citra Mas Square at 08:00 am before leaving together. Take a look at the photo of the sea of people above. I estimate that there were thousands of people who participated from various sub-districts. It's very difficult to take photos from up here. The situation was really congested at that time.
The picture above is a portrait when the leisurely stroll will begin. Everyone prepares to start walking on the starting line. There are some residents who provide careful preparation before the activity begins, they bring drinking water bottles, tissues and snacks that can they enjoy while walking.
The signal to start walking was finally given as people were getting more and more excited to get going. I was in the last wave considering the situation was really crowded and it was very difficult to move freely. Thankfully when the walking activity started, the weather was cloudy so we didn't really feel the scorching heat of the sun.
I took the photo above when I managed to push the crowd around me to pull over for a while. I literally couldn't hold out in their dense crowd for just a few minutes. I almost fainted and ran out of oxygen😫, not only me who felt it, several mothers and children also came out of the crowd because they couldn't stand it. My friends and I decided to let them all go and join the next wave with the least number of people.
After quite a long rest, finally my friends and I rejoined the crowd and started walking. Thankfully there were fewer people at that time so there was a lot of space for us to move freely compared to the previous wave. Regarding the route, we started walking at the starting line at the Citra Mas square, then walked around the vast Pangkajene sub-district and returned to the starting line. Travel time is around 1 hour 15 minutes with a distance of 1.92 km.

We got a lot of fun from this activity. We joked together, chatted and met many old friends during the trip. As a result when we arrived at the starting line, we felt alive again after walking together after such a long time.
The picture above is a portrait when everyone has made it to the finish line and resting together in the Citra Mas square hall. There are also some people who decide to go home and rest in their own homes.
Yaapp! People ended the stroll by going home but my friends and I went out together to have lunch at a roadside stall. The picture above is “Coto” a typical food from Makassar City, the provincial capital where I live. My weekend didn't just end with the leisurely strolling, we still continued it at the food stall where we gathered.
In accordance with my expectations, every weekend there will always be new moments that are obtained. I hope that in the future there will be stories, moments and experiences that I can share again in this community, see you.😁
