It is my first time here and I was blown away by their exceptional service and professionalism.

I opted for the hot oil massage because I can confidently say that it is one of the best soothing massages I've ever had. This time I specifically encountered the Tibetan Hot Oil Massage.

Interesting Insights

Tibetan massage is a traditional healing practice that had been used for centuries in Tibet.

It involves using a combination of deep tissue massage, acupressure, and energy work to balance the body's energy which helps relieves physical and emotional tension.

The massage therapist uses their hands, fingers, and elbows to apply pressure to specific points on the body. Tibetan Massage is famous for its ability to promote relaxation reduce stress, alleviate pain, and improve overall well-being.

To start, I've been searching online and asking my colleagues for any recommendations of good massage locations, as they suggested that there are numerous in Kalverstraat, Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the location is far and not so convenient for me when it comes to public transportation.

After days of heavy work, study, stress, and a hectic schedule, I feel the need to pamper myself and take it easy as we know that health is essential and truly our top priority. This leads me on going to Amsterdam Centraal as it is one of the great spots where I can have a good one, plus it is close to the place where I live.

Location

The area is located on Nieuwe Nieuwstraat 12, right in the heart of Amsterdam Centraal just a few minutes walk from the train station.

I stumbled upon Himalaya Spa and Tibet Massage while walking around Amsterdam's central district. The sign outside the establishment caught my eye, and I decided to check it out. When I checked their site online, I found tons of great reviews.

I entered without reservation and was delighted that it was not too busy. Struck by how pleasant and neat the place looked.

Tibetan Hot Oil Massage Experience

Soothing music playing in the background created a relaxing atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. The staff is friendly and accomodating and you could tell that they took their job seriously. They asked if I had any specific requests for my massage, I was supposed to get the ventosa or cupping massage but then it is not currently available, so I had the Tibetan hot oil massage instead.

This hot oil massage involves using warm oil to massage the body, which helps relax the muscles and release tension. the massage lasted for 30 minutes, and it costs €40, which is a reasonable price considering the quality of service offered.

The massage room was dimly lit, which added to the tranquil atmosphere. The masseuse asked me to lie down on the massage table and covered me with a clean towel.

She then proceeded to massage my body with the warm oil, starting from my back and working her way down. Her touch was firm yet gentle, and I could feel my muscles relaxing with every stroke. I'm loving it!

As the massage progressed, I felt my body loosen up, and all my stress and tension began to melt away. The masseuse was skilled, and she knew how to work on the different parts of the body to provide maximum relaxation. I could feel the tension in my neck and shoulders slowly disappearing, and I felt more relaxed than I had been in a long time.

A nice cup of tea was offered to me after the massage, in fact, they offered it twice so I did enjoy drinking that delicious flavour of tea. Yumm!!

It was really a perfect end to an amazing experience. I left Himalaya Spa and Tibet Massage feeling rejuvenated and relaxed, and I knew that I would be back!

My overall rating? 5/5!! 🌟⭐️🌟

Amsterdam Central is a magical place during the evening, the city center comes alive with the glow of light.

Right after I had a massage, I decided to capture eye-catching shot while I was walking to the train station.
