Hello my dear friends… Today is a beautiful day for holiday. The reason of that because today is one of our big holiday. We have two big holidays, which is Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adh. Our Eid Al Fitr happened in May, while today is our Eid Al Adh. There’re some difference on when you celebrate it depends on what you believe, some celebrate it yesterday and some celebrate it today. Our whole family celebrate Eid Al Adh today.

Eid Al Adh always so exciting but for some office worker might get disappointed that this year Eid Al Adh happened in Sunday. It means that there’re no additional off day for them because most of them are off in Sunday. If the holiday happened in Monday, there will be a lot of joy for the people because it means that they can have a long weekend. Well, its not something i am bothered by as i am just a freelancer and its also not something that makes the whole experience of Eid Al Adh less fun.

Like usual, in the morning after sunrise. We will need to go to the mosque to pray Eid Al Adh. The pray doesnt take long, with khutbah, it usually only take 1 hour of our time. This is the highlight of this post that i make. I want to share about what it looks like to pray in Eid Al Adh in the morning. There’re barely any difference between the prayer in Eid Al Adh and the prayer in Eid Al Fitr.

Since i was young, i always love to go to the mosque to do this pray. I always find it fascinating that there’re so many people gather in one olace to do prayer together. The size of people that we can see in Eid Al Adh prayer are not the same as the amount of people gather to pray together in normal praying time. Most of the time, they even use a field if there’re no big mosque nearby. The reason is because almost every muslim will come and do this prayer that we can only do twice a year. I think its just beautiful and fascinating. There is also a fact that we will surely meet our old neighbor, our old classmates, even someone we just know by chance while we do this prayer. This prayer have the ability to connecting a lost communication .

The Eid Al Adh prayer will not take long, usually after the praying, we will go back to our house to eat. Some visited their families after that. Some going directly to the mosque to continue the rituals that we have and the biggest essence during Eid Al Adh, which is to qurban. In Qurban, we will sacrifice some animals such as cows, goat, and sheeps. We will sacrifice them and then distribute the meat for other.

Thus i find Eid Al Adh beautiful and qurban is honorable, sadly it was the cause of my trauma and hatred towards meats other than seafood and chicken. I used to excitedly went to mosque to watch the sacrifice ritual when i was young and maybe the young me cant handle the process of watching an animal loosing their life right in front of my eyes. I cant ever stomach the meat again ever since.

I have a Muslim friend and this is surely an important event for all of you. I'm glad that you enjoy it

Hi, thank youuu. Hope you have a lovely day too. Its not my favorite event tho

Yay! The celebrations started yesterday and there were a lot of beautiful dresses of beautiful colors and a lot of meat and snacks. However, at my place, because it fell on a Saturday which is a weekend, the holidays are extended tilll Tuesday. So schools and offices are closed till Wednesday.

Wow your place is interesting and its so nice. We actually back to our normal life tomorrow just like nothing happened so today is the only day to enjoy and have fun with relatives

Awww. We are just about to get in to proper celebration. Normally, it takes more than two days. Maybe it's just our culture but the first day is for prayers and cooking. Maybe visiting relatives and just general fun. Then the second day is the day we eat eat eat😂. All. Both Christians and Muslim share a common meal. Our Muslim Brothers go from house to house with food and lots of meat plus drinks. The Christian brothers may give a few notes of cash to the little ones since all we are gonna do is eat😂. It's awesome

Happy Eid Al Adh
May The Almighty God giving you and your family lots of blessing

Thank you Bli Eka, wish you and your family will always be blessed too.
