Fishing for the first time

One of the things I always wanted to do was to become a fisherman because living in a beach area I saw how my friends, family and most of the people were dedicated to this profession. It is true that many did it as a hobby, but for many it was their way of making a living.

However, for one reason or another I never had the chance to fish or even try to fish. Then I moved away from that place and all my passion for fishing disappeared, or at least I thought it did.

Yesterday, for the first time my wife and I went out and made it all the way to Lake Arlington, which is in Texas, USA and I found myself with a fishing pole in my hand. I cannot describe the joy and nervousness I experienced because I wanted to impress my wife, who surely imagined that I was an expert fisherman.

A long time passed before I experienced the joy it feels to have the prize of food caught by you. My wife would tell me that I didn't have the demeanor of a fisherman and that she saw that I didn't have the art to catch the fish, while I complained that it was her and the girl's noise that kept me from concentrating and scared the fish away with their noise.

Finally, after more than an hour and moving from several places, one managed to take the bait and gave me the joy of becoming my first fishing prize.

You can imagine the joy I felt, but, my euphoria was even greater, when 17 minutes later, another fish took the bait.

Apparently, the fish went on vacation because I didn't manage to get any other prize from the lake, but, I was able to experience what it feels like to catch your food by your own hands.

A short time later we were on our way home. My wife was chatting with the little girl about various topics, while the writer was euphoric about the small booty obtained in his first adventure as a fisherman.

Whoa!
That's a big catch, man. One time, when i was younger and went by the stream in my village, i caught this little fish, and it made me so proud. I took it home in a bottle, hoping to care for it until it grew. Sadly, it died, probably for lack of oxygen. I can imagine what a fulfilling day it was for you.
