Hello everyone,
Today I want to tell you about the wonderful weekend I spent in Jesolo!
After a long week of work, I decided to treat myself to a rejuvenating break and immerse myself in the magic of the beach and the sea! My girlfriend and I, after packing the essentials, set off quickly towards one of our favorite destinations, and in no time, we were already home!
After the journey and the long day, tiredness set in, so we just savored the scent of the sea for a little while and didn't waste any more time. We went to rest, so we could be ready and energized for the following days!
We stayed in one of the apartments at Villa Tea, a charming historic condominium in Lido di Jesolo. The apartment belonged to my grandfather; he bought it around the 80s, and since then, my whole family and close relatives have lived in the house and left fantastic memories. That's why it has a special meaning for me. Can you imagine that every summer, since I was born, I come here and have grown fond of every aspect of the house, from the trees to the swimming pool, to the neighbors who have become like family to me.
On Saturday morning, with a smile on our faces, we got up and leisurely headed towards Piazza Drago, famous for its two towering towers visible from kilometers away. Underneath them, we delighted our taste buds with a warm cappuccino and fragrant pastries to prepare for the day. Later, we walked back home along the beach, finally immersing ourselves in the comfortable sand and the waters of the sea.
After cooking a light lunch, we decided to relax at home for a bit before heading to the beach with the intention of getting a tan without getting burnt, which is quite a task! Although the waters of Jesolo are not known and renowned for their clarity, being still low season, we were lucky to find surprisingly clean water!
I love the seaside life, I love relaxing on the beach, reading, sleeping, but also playing cards or soccer with friends, rolling in the sand like a child, and then diving into the sea, rinsing off all the sand stuck everywhere. I enjoy the sea at any time of the day, but I certainly prefer it at night and at dawn. The sense of serenity it gives me is indescribable; it soothes my soul and makes me reflect. In fact, one of my dreams is to be able to live by the sea, to enjoy its benefits every day.
In the evening, we decided to revisit an "all you can eat" sushi restaurant that we had tried in the past. Following the diet and being mindful of calories is not recommended on these occasions, haha, and that's why we left there satisfied and with overly full stomachs, haha! It was a moment of pure joy.
The next morning, we decided to have breakfast directly on the beach, comfortably seated on the couches of the kiosk in front of Villa Tea. What a spectacle, so much creaminess, so much goodness!
Sunday was a particularly hot day, at least in the first part of the day. After devouring the cream-filled Krapfen and our usual cappuccino, we didn't hesitate for a moment to dive into the pool. After refreshing ourselves and quickly preparing a couple of hot dogs at home, we returned to the beach and brought out our intellectual side, reading detective novels for almost the entire afternoon. My girlfriend, in particular, is passionate about them.
To conclude the weekend, we had one last swim in the sea, enjoyed the final ice cream at the kiosk, and had dinner at one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Every time I enter that place, it's like taking a dive into the past, a moment of nostalgia and precious memories.
And now comes the most boring part of the whole weekend: cleaning up, tidying, and getting ready to go back home...
Before leaving, we decided to take one last walk along the main street of Lido di Jesolo. We bought two small gifts for our parents and then got in the car, ready to return to everyday life.
Jesolo holds a special place in my heart; I have many wonderful memories of friends who have grown up and whom I see less and less, as well as precious family memories. Every time I come back here, I leave a piece of my heart, but I always return home rich in happiness and new memories... Thank you again, Jesolo!
I hope you enjoyed it and that I managed to entertain you!
See you soon with new adventures,
your Federico :)

me too 💦
It looks like a fantastic place to spend a weekend.
It's great that you can go back to that place that brings back so many memories.
Yes! I'm very fortunate in this regard. It's a place I recommend to anyone, both older and younger people. It's a place that welcomes you, and you wouldn't want to leave it ever... In the future, I might make other posts about Jesolo, perhaps focusing more on other aspects like food rather than attractions!
