RE: WEEK 221 - THE PERFECT AGE

in Weekend Experiences3 months ago

Hmm, one power up all year but so many times you've extracted hundreds. I wrote a post about this the other day, about changing my voting habits. So, after checking your wallet I've decided I'll not be able to upvote you anymore unless I see regular power ups. It's a shame, I'd like to support you but I'll only be supporting those who support the blockchain with some regular power ups.

Good morning my friend, sorry for my lack of ignorance, although I've been on Hive for a long time, I'm just a person who values posting and reading content. After starting on the platform, I was absent for over a year, I've been active since the end of last year. I've never made any withdrawals, I just post and receive HP and HBD (which I convert to Hive).

This is a beginner's question: is the power up you're talking about converting Hive to HP? I imagined that being on Hive or HP would be the same thing. That's why I convert all HBD to Hive.

In my opinion, apparently I was wrong, keeping Hive or HP at maximum would be the same thing.

Yea, it's staking Hive as HP, which increases your vote power (VP) which, when you vote for others, spreads the value, the rewards from the reward pool. So many simply take their rewards out of the blockchain, I know some really need it, but I like to see (and support) those who power up rather than take all their rewards out.

Got it, thanks for the guidance.

If you have to take a bit then take it, but power up at the same time so people can see you're supporting. Say, take 75% and power up 25% as a minimum. You'll build your stake and with more voting will earn more curation too.

OK, thanks for all!
