It's a tough decision really, and I don't think there's a wrong or right response or answer, just the individuals' answer.
To save oneself is probably something many would do and without further clarification or context of the situation it makes sense that you would go that way.

True, and what if it is in "real life" situation. It's hard to choose but I think if the killer command to kill while using timer, even if you don't want to use the weapon, you will still use it because of how scary the situation is, especially while in panic. It's doesn't matter anymore if it's wrong.
