Yeah. This guy acts tough and mean. Which he thinks equates to be what it means to be a grown up I guess.

But its hat lack of ownership and moderation in his responses that makes him come across like a kid. It feels to me, its like having to deal with a teenager with mood swings who is very aggressive and violent.

We also suspect that he is causing trouble because he wants to be fired so he can sue for a payout or some nonsense. I have told my boss to speak to her legal guy she has on retainer. Because again, I think this guy thinks that he can get massive amounts of money, but lawfully - can he? I don't think so! This is not a movie.

People have some strange ideas I guess, and with certain character types no amount of logic can sway them from what they know is right. These types of people often get what they deserve, through their own actions. (I mean, they are often the cause of their own failures, lack of progress and ultimate unhappiness.)

Absolutely 100% right.

This guy also is a senior technician without qualifications. He hates all the younger guys who go and become technicians and who get qualified. He treats his assistants even worse and wont vouch for them to go up.

The other day he was, like you say in a state where he knows he is right, adamant that working at night is "blood money". Meanwhile he got paid for a full week and he had an extra day off. I worked with him those two nights.

We worked Monday day. No work Tuesday day, worked Tuesday night, No work Wednesday day, Worked Wednesday night, No work Thursday day, No work Thursday Night, Worked Friday day.

So we worked 4 shifts and got paid for 5 shifts... but he says its "blood money". There is fuckall in our law about that, but this is what he believes.
