The #weekend-engagement topic format has changed - Here's why and the new concept
Offer weekly posting ideas - create more post-activity on the weekend
Reward users for posting great quality and interesting content
Benefits to getting involved
- Post(s) will receive upvotes from me (and hopefully others)
- Some posts will be curated for @curangel rewards
- Hive rewards sent directly to some at the conclusion of each weekend
- Best/most liked post pinned to THE WEEKEND community
- Top posts showcased on winners announcement post
- Showcase yourself to the community and build your account
This is still an engagement concept. Through commenting on other people's posts you'll build relationships, draw attention to yourself and your account will grow.
Simple guidelines to follow
- Base your post around the set topic(s) - Be creative
- Use #weekend-engagement as the first tag of your post to be eligible
- Post directly into the community - Do not self cross post (Community rule)
- Post in English (Use a translator if you like)
- No word-count minimum - I'll be looking for quality posts
- Plagiarism won't be tolerated - Do your own work and credit photos
- Runs now to late Sunday your time - You have all weekend to post
Curation and hive-rewards will happen on quality original content so proof read, use in-focus and interesting pictures and generally take pride in your post. Your posts are a representation and showcase of you - Give people a reason to visit your post feed for a look.

Exactly. In the 73 weeks prior to now I've transferred some 4,800 hive to people commenting on the #weekend-engagement and now I want to promote some posting a little more. Hopefully people jump on board but if not then it's only them they're limiting I guess.

My country needs to improve in a lot of areas but I'd go for the first option because I have been getting these vacation vibes lately.
The country I'd love to live in for a weekend is Italy. The answer to why is obvious😄 I've been obsessed with this country for a long time. It's rich with art and history, the architecture is mesmerizing. I have watched many documentaries and movies featuring in Italy. This country has a lot to offer to the people with wanderlust. I am planning to go there in next year or maybe in 2023 but I am excited already. I could get a glimpse of ancient Rome there and what not?! This country has given so many things to the world throughout the history. The rock drawings in Valcamonica are as old as 8,000 BC.

I see. Yes, of course you can engage in the post, that's a given. I was simply letting you know as your answer seemed quite extensive for a simple comment on the topic announcement post. I wanted to ensure you were understanding of the changes otherwise you may miss out on some potential rewards and that would be a shame.
Nope! Its just my obsession that I could not stop writing about Italy and I am looking forward to engaging in the topic according to the rules but missing out on something, how would that be a shame?!

I think this curation effort is the next step to weekend engagement. The problem is no matter how many great things I say about my country you can just show one picture of Australia that will blow me away.
The only thing that is not completely clear is "Post directly into the community". This means that we can use any front end we like as long as the community chosen and first tag is #weekend-engagement. Sounds fair since this is a weekend engagement initiative.
One of the hazards of living in Australia is awesomeness. OK, so not really a hazard because awesomeness is awesome. 😂
The post must be inside THE WEEKEND community and not self cross-posted there from a different community. I don't know if using #weekend-engagement actually drops it into the community or not. I'd say not. You should be able to select the community you wish the post to appear in as in Peakd, but I don't use the other front ends so am not sure.

Thanks for the great opportunity, I'm in for this. @galenkp are we allowed to use pictures of country you wish to visit eventhough you've not been there?. I think this might go against the rules but no how you're going to post without using pictures that doesn't belong to you, since it still in future and you've not been there.
You can use any images you like as long as your credit the source- If you don't have images use stock ones from sites like pixabay, but link to the image and credit the photographer.

Thanks for your comment (and entry). I really enjoyed the #weekend-engagement comment section however wanted to focus on increasing posting a little. In the 73 weeks leading up to week 74 I have handed out about 5,000 hive to comments on the #weekend-engagement and enjoyed it however wanted to change it up and see if I can get some accounts built up through those accounts making an effort to post well, as you have done (and always do)
I don't use ecency to be honest so know nothing about their points system. I'm also not one to ask people for support either; if it comes great, if not then all good also.
You know ;-) I am the contests Queen ;-) Another contest has been on my to post list for this weekend and it was about my favorite feature of ecency, wich for sure is the point system. I wrote the main things about, maybe youre interested reading it.
And I do not write this here for an upvote :-) hope you know me that well meanwhile that this is not the reason writing this :-)

Yeah, I read a lot anyway. I was keen to try and inspire people to do some posts rather than drop a comment. I enjoyed the comment-feed on the W-E but this way people get to showcase their posts and gain some additional exposure. Time will reveal if people want to take the time and make the effort. I have always been in love with Italy for its mesmerizing architectural view and the creativity of art in that land. It is such a dazzling beautiful place to visit and reside in. At least coming from a person living quite too far from it.
It's an amazing place. I've been a few times and would go back again.
Interesting questions 😃 I wish I can answer them all 😁 but let me just choose the most important one.
Nigeria is my country and I love her irrespective of the leaders she has😰. See frankly If I was giving a whole day I can just go on and on talking about my country but I won't say much just a little.
I love the drama going on in my country 😃😃 being in Nigeria will just make you laugh every day. I love the country because citizens of nigeria are all funny people even when the nation is going through huge economic recession they is always something to laugh about.
For the challenges. Seeing the way the EFCC go after young boys that they see doing well I mean living a good and comfortable life, it just makes me feel bad and depressed that I sometimes fear to make money they are just watching you the moment you start wearing good clothes and fine perfumes you are their next target.
They make so many young people wanting to live the country 😰 another challenge I have is the rate at which people get kidnapped. Most especially during the end of the year like this from October-december and ones you are kidnapped they demand huge sum of money.
