View from the road of the Morros de San Juan
The day promised to be exciting and full of adventures, therefore, the excitement woke the children up very early. I'm here to tell you about the proposal that #weekend-engagement makes to us with @galenkp
Mathias asking if he could go with pajamas and adding the beach style or what the trip was like.
We went to help in a new project, a place where they aspire to have a comprehensive farm. Located in the Guárico state, San Juan de los Morros, specifically in Castrero. This site is characterized by a spectacular river, so near this land there is a Spa which is very busy on weekends. But honestly I didn't have the opportunity to make that stop. Next time I'll show them to you.
This place not only represented a dream come true for many, but also an opportunity for us to connect with nature and contribute to something meaningful.
The Adventure Begins
I found out that they sell it unsharpened and I had to take it to someone who would grind it because otherwise they are useless.
We left home very early and little Mathias as always, with his good vibe that characterizes him; from home to the farm it is about 40 minutes. But before we immersed ourselves in the fun of nature, there was an important task to attend to: taking the machetes to be sharpened.
A local man, known for his ability to sharpen tools, lived nearby and was in charge of leaving them ready for work. So, after leaving the machetes, we took the opportunity to chat with him and he told us about the power of the rivers and one or another myth about it.
After a while, we returned to the farm with our machetes sharpened, ready for action. Guidelines had already been given to clear a specific area to prepare the land for planting. The idea of seeing how that space transformed under our hands was exciting. Well, from the hand of others, because I know absolutely nothing about that.
A Breath for the Soul
My son determined to help and do his best. But their motto is, first the tooth (that is, eat) and then the earrings (the hard work).
After almost two hours walking around the place while the others worked and taking some photos and videos that they requested, we decided to take a break. Looking around us, I couldn't help but feel grateful. Being there, in the middle of nature, imagining all the projects that my family has there, was an invaluable experience.
Now there is a mountain left to clean
Finally, as evening fell, we managed to clear a good part of the ground. The work is appreciated with satisfaction, knowing that an important step has been taken towards the realization of a dream.
At the end of the day, as we prepared to return home, I couldn't help but feel filled with gratitude. It had been an unforgettable day, full of work, laughter and love.
This place not only represented an agricultural project; but one of hope, family work.
The trip home was peaceful, with hearts full of excitement and minds full of ideas about what's to come.
This has been my experience last weekend outdoors, as soon as we have more progress in that beautiful place I will tell you.
