Guess what? It is only recently when I learned that there are apparently several museums/galleries here in the Metro that are open for public for free. Because of that, I told myself that starting this year, I would visit as many museums/galleries as I can.
Last week, I visited one with my friend! We went to Metropolitan Museum of Manila, located at 30th Street, Bonifacio Global City. As of writing, they are open from 11AM - 5 PM every Tuesday to Friday and 10AM - 5 PM every Saturday. If you are around the area, you might want to pay a visit, too! 😊
I always say that I love art, all forms of it, and though it's true, I still yet to learn how to appreciate art on a deeper level. Most of the time, when I look at art, I look at the strokes; the materials used; the art as a whole. Other times, I try to feel the story it is trying to say or try to make a narrative in my head about the possible inspiration of the artist. But it is very rare that I feel a personal connection with them.
One of the exhibits displayed during our visit was a curation of Annie Cabigting's work, entitled, "When we look at art..."
When I first learned the concept of this collection, I was in awe. They were all art, showing different people looking at art! And the best part is, they are all based on real photos of real people! It was really sooooo cooool! It felt like stalking random strangers in various art exhibits! I really love it and I wanna visit it again. ❤️
After our Museum Visit, my friend and I headed to Salad Stop to have our late lunch/early dinner/heavy snacks. We availed the Make your Own Salad bowl, which was the first time for us both!
We also tried a newly opened coffee booth near Terra 28th in BGC, called, Brood.. We were so amazed because their coffee price ranges from 60-95 pesos, yet it tasted sooo goood! Would definitely again buy the next I get to go to BGC.
The rest of our time together, my friend and I just stayed at Terra 28th, where we took cute pictures, laughed our ass off, and even got interviewd by students for their school project! Haha
Our time together this day was shorter that the last time, yet it was just as fun.
Thank you for reading until here!
Stay sane and safe!
Let's spread happiness.
