Trading in the heavenly free spot you have now for a desire to live closer to the sea, with much less freedom, seems like a recipe for disaster to me. But I also understand the desire, and life is always a big gamble. In the end, you have to do what you feel comfortable with ... although, after our experience with neighbors, I know that I will not quickly voluntarily choose to have many neighbors. It can go well, but it can also become the biggest misery. And the thing is that all over the world the housing markets seem to be overheated ... which has the side effect that you cannot leave again so quickly. 20 years ago it was different and if you did not like something you sold it again and found a place somewhere else just as quickly. Those days are over ... That requires a slightly different approach
