RE: Weekend-engagement topic week 29: Talkin' toys

Merry Christmas, I hope you had an excellent Christmas Eve dinner together with your loved ones. My mother used to offer us a doll, about 2 meters tall, that we always saw in television commercials. And our dream never came true. At present I do not offer anything to my grandchildren that I cannot give them but would like to give them everything they see. Unfortunately I have not been able to fulfill that dream due to lack of money. On one occasion I had a Sega Genesis that I bought with my work, it was for my children, but I woke up playing on the console, I even beat my children at games. And what toy would you give someone in Hive? A stuffed animal. Stuffed animals are the quintessential gift for friends and they last over time.

You remind me of my friends who have children, I always ask them, did you buy the toy for yourself or for your child?

jajajajajajaja good point @josehany

I think most parents want to give their kids what they want, especially if they, themselves, have not had a lot.

I don't have kids by I think I would be a little different. Sure, I'd want to give my kids things, but I'd also want to teach them the value of items and respect for the money that buys them...More accurately the effort that goes into earning the money and the importance of understanding how money works in one's life. I think I would do that well considering my own experiences as a kid in a family where money was not in abundance.

I think it's cool that you kicked your kids butts at Sega...Show them who's boss right? 😂

Thanks for joining in this week.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I agree. I wonder if there is such a thing as a stuffed bee? That would be darn near perfect, wouldn't it?

Thanks for agreeing with me. Stuffed animals are beautiful. The teddy bear displayed by @creativemary is huge. If you give it to me, I will receive it with pleasure.
