Hello everyone and friend of The Weekend, how's your weekend ? this time I want to divide the activities of a weekend together with my neighbors around my house. Did you know that having good neighbors is the best solution and cheaper than rely on government assistance. I experienced it myself when in the month of August last, I was ill-affected typus and the conditions in the hospitals in my place is being filled by the patient covid 19. Finally, I was treated by my neighbor, he worked as a nurse in the hospital and also some of the neighbors around helping provide food because at that time I did not work. A blessing that is not infinite.
Last weekend, my neighbor held a barbeque to celebrate the wedding. My neighbor named Panda, married October 18, 2021 and the wedding took place in Rantau Prapat, with a distance of about 8 hours from Medan City. Because when it's still a pandemic and did not create a wedding event to the public, so the event there's a special family. So, he held a barbeque to celebrate the wedding and introduce her new family to the neighbors.

Barbecue Menu consists of catfish and chicken, all ingredients of the food was seasoned with spices typical of Indonesia that are often used to make barbeque. During the day, the wives in the neighborhood of my house together help to prepare a variety of materials such as spice up the chicken, clean the fish, and also prepare ice oranges for drink.
The man and husband become a grilled fish and chicken, we no have experience as a cook or chef but if done together, grill the fish and the chicken is not too difficult to do it. Sometimes, because they are telling each other we forget and make the food so burn or over cook, but it doesn't matter what matters is mutual when eating together. We also use only the barbeque tool that is simple, namely the arrangement of the bricks as a place of grilling.
Some of the neighbors are chatting and telling stories while drinking Alcohol and smoking. Tuak is a traditional alcohol drink from the Indonesia. Tuak made from the fermentation of water palm trees, Tuak also serves as a beverage association for the man in my city. I myself do not drink alcohol, there are two reasons, first because it can make the smell in the mouth after drinking it, and the second reason is the body I do not hold drink alcohol, anyways if there's a coffee why should drinking alcohol ?
Eat Together
After all the chicken and fish are already finished on the grill. Eating together begins. Not to forget, we must also pray before a meal together, so that the food we eat into blessings and have a positive impact in the future. Eating together in Indonesia is carried out by way of sitting cross-legged on the floor and the food coming, perhaps with different style of eating together in the west. The ambiance of a meal as create a more intimate and close. After finished eating, usually followed by telling each other until two hours about a lot of things such as the economy, politics, football or whatever.
Barbeque with the neighbors at the end of the week might be one of the ways to enjoy the end of the week, after undergoing the activity of the solid in the working day, we need to refresh our souls with socializing with the neighbors.
It does not hurt us out of the room or our house to socialize with neighbors. Of course in addition to straps keep the friendship, socializing will improve security in the environment of our homes.
Get to know our neighbors with the good will foster a sense of caring. Then makes us keep a good relationship and protect each other. So that our environment will create a safe and convenient. A time when we need help, the neighbor is the first we can ask for help.
