Weekend of illusions

Hello everyone and hello to The weekend community. I hope you enjoy the weekend time. 🙂

Last weekend, my son insisted that I take him to the Museum of Illusions.

I had a headache and I was not in the mood to go there, but he convinced me that all illusions would stop my headaches. Maybe sometimes we have a headache because of our illusions. We imagine something that is not so and we have a headache. And then we realize that it was just an illusion and the headache stops. 🙂

When I entered the room with the mirrored walls, at first I was afraid that I would not be able to guess which mirror was the door, and then I read "exit" on one of the mirrors. I wasn't focused, I felt bad. And then I saw myself in a lot of copies. What a pale face and tired eyes. I saw how tired I am. But I said to myself - smile and enjoy with your son. The headache will pass.

Then my son came into the room and was delighted...
"Mom, there's a lot of me here."
And the party started.

My son was thrilled with all the illusions and understood each one in the right way.

We were on the ceiling.

We were on a plate.

He almost ate me as his favorite dish. 🙂

We were the same height, and maybe even I was shorter than him. 🙂

He was fascinated by shapes that are the same size and don’t look that way. It always seems that one is smaller than the other and will not fit into the frame.

He was also delighted with the blue lines in the pictures below which are the same length and one seems to be shorter than the other. It was hard for me to believe that either.

And here I am, many times, with a smile on my face, without a headache. My son was right. 🙂

In the end one of the weirdest illusions. Is he looking straight or are you looking at his profile?

The Museum of Illusions in Belgrade offers an interactive, exciting, and fun experience for children and adults. Amusing and awesome tricks will teach you about illusions and why our eyes see things that our brain cannot understand.

When we left the museum, we took a short walk. I love evening walks. Near the museum is Nikola Pasic Square. Nikola Pasic was a Serbian
politician and diplomat. It is one of the central town squares and a famous gathering spot.

Thank you very much for reading.

The images and writing are original and mine.

Now I’m going to think about what dessert I’m going to make for the weekend-engagement because one of this week’s blog prompts is "sweet food" and I can’t wait to join. 🙂

Greetings!

Jelena

Hi Jelena

This was a great post although I think it would have made my headache worse with trying to figure these things out.

It looks like you both had a great time and that's what counts!

Keep well and I'm looking forward to reading your entry to the Weekend Engagement tomorrow.

I also thought that my headache would get worse and that's why I didn't want to go there but the opposite happened, the headache stopped. 😊 We really had a great time. I would recommend it to anyone who has children.

My claustrophobia won’t let me try the mirror room 😩 It looks fun though!!
Those are amazing sights to behold and you both look like you enjoyed your time there.

I hope you ended your day headache free?

It was not pleasant for me either when I entered the room with the mirrors, although I am not claustrophobic. 😊 It's weird. But I have to admit that I had a great time with my son and I got rid of the headache. 😊

What a brilliant time and that museum looks brilliant for anyone, kids or adults. I loved the pics of the head through the table.
That really was a fun post and what a brilliant museum to have Jelena!

We had a great time and the good thing is that both children and adults have fun. Some illusions are complicated. I couldn't understand one of them, you had to look at it and then you had to get the impression that it was moving, but I didn't succeed. And then I saw my son behind me shouting "Mom, look, this is moving." 😀 He succeeded. This is an ideal place for him, he was very happy. 😊

hehe he sounds like he will be clever Jelena!

Yes I think he was happy and will be asking to go back again😁

So beautiful weekend and so beautiful photographs

Thank you, I am glad you like it.

Wonderful! This was too much fun to visit with your son

he convinced me that all illusions would stop my headaches.

A very wise boy. 😍 I am delighted that you finished with a smile, it was not for less.

Happy Sunday, amiga!🤗
