About Last Weekend : My Best Friend Is Moving Out Too Soon | Prepping Her New Shelter

in Weekend Experiences2 years ago (edited)

I got a sweaty yet productive Saturday last weekend. My best friend is moving out of her parents' house too soon, so, I together with her siblings, helped her ready her condo unit for her move out.

My Saturday last week started really earlier than my usual Saturdays. I left the house at 7:00 in the morning, went to my best friend's house, fetched her and her things, then headed to her condo unit in the neighboring city. We went ahead, for her siblings (also her solid moving out support) still had gym schedule earlier that day.

We drove through the Cebu-Cordova bridge (currently the longest bridge in the Philippines), and reached the other end in just around 10 minutes. From there, we just drove more or less 20 minutes and arrived at our destination (which we normally reached in more than 1 hour of driving before the existence of the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway).

Got here some photos while passing through the longest bridge in the Philippines:

Going to my best friend's condo was just smooth, thankfully, after CCLEX, the road was not congested (which usually is) at that time. We arrived earlier than expected.

We rested for a while, then started sorting things and cleaning the unit. My friend booked a moving services truck that day to transfer some of her heavy furniture which were not needed in the condo, to her parents' house. We dismantled the Cabinets and other furniture so they would just be easy to carry going down since the unit is on the fourth floor.

Right after the dismantling task, we went on dusting off the area, and started arranging the stuff in the condo. Moments later, my best friend's sibs arrived with some of the new furniture for the condo. First up were the work-from-home essentials. The sibs assembled the desk and others, while we continued with the cleaning.

It took us about 4 hours to accomplish everything on our checklist for the condo that day. We are now halfway done with our preparation for my best friend's moving out.

We left the unit at almost 2 pm and stopped by a mall nearby for lunch.

Next week, Saturday, we will go back to the condo for the scheduled installation of the other furniture.

Well, that was it for that weekend, see you at the next one!

'til then,
