Look, it's me swimming

The weekend posting topics for this weekend brought back memories of February 14, Valentine's Day, in early 2019. My son was around 8 months old at that time.

My son's dad decided to take us to the pool and just have fun since it was Valentine's day. It was necessary for me to bring my younger sister along so that she could take some pictures of me in the pool.

As soon as we arrived at the place, we didn't jump into the pool right away, but we looked for a comfortable place to sit. We ordered some drinks, soft drinks, and alcoholic drinks. It wasn't just three of us though, we were four and the last person was a friend of my son's dad.

We enjoyed the drinks and barbecue that we were served. They tasted delicious.

After a few minutes, I signaled to my son's dad that it was time to meet with the person in charge so we could pay for the swimming session. The rule was that you had to pay for any service before enjoying them. Honestly, the fees were high, but we couldn't turn around and leave at that time.

One thing about me is that whenever I decide to go out, I make sure to find myself in a very tush place. I want to be satisfied with what I get.

While my sister also enjoyed herself, she delivered by taking good shots of me at the pool. Wait! Not just me but all of us at the pool including my 8-month-old baby. But I would only be sharing photos of myself for this post.

I love being in the pool but there is this thing with the pools I have been to so far in my life. Because of this, I don't enjoy my time in the pool as much as I should.

You might want to ask, what is that thing?

It's the smell. There is a smell I have noticed that most pools I have visited have. I don't really know what it is but I always guess that it's the chemical used in preserving the pool.

If there is anything I'm terrible at, it would be swimming. I admired my son's dad who could float on the water and could also swim in the deep part of the pool.

I decided to challenge myself while in the pool. I am not sure why I made such a stupid decision but thank GOD, there was someone around to save me.

I wasn't really swimming but moved to that deep part of the pool. If I am not mistaken, it was 12ft. When I got there, I felt gravity pulling me down. The more I tried to pull myself out, the deeper I felt myself sinking into the water. I had no option but to scream for help.

Almost immediately, someone swam close to me and moved me to the side that wasn't deep. I couldn't help but laugh at myself.

Me trying to feel myself swimming for real by holding on to the rod and closing my eyes lol

Silly moments.

Something funny happened at the pool. I noticed that a woman had a swimming coach. She was learning to swim. The more I watched, the more interested I became. The swimming coach, however, made me feel uncomfortable with some of his moves. If I wanted to learn to swim, I asked my son's dad if he would let me hire a coach like that.

My expectations were met by a knowing look from him. If I were him, I probably would have given that look too. This is because that coach was very close to the lady. Hehehe, the way he moved her from here to here made me wonder if it was all for swimming.

Despite the challenges, I still had fun at the pool. The subtle makeup I was wearing before entering the pool got completely washed away. Since we weren't heading anywhere else, I didn't bother redoing my makeup. That was all.

In summary, I had fun at the pool, I couldn't swim, but I stayed in the water, I took pictures, I almost drowned, and I had fun. All thanks to Facebook for the throwback pictures.

Thanks for reading.

Places like these are usually expensive, but as you point out if they are going to give a good service, one is willing to pay, now well I learned to swim as a child, but I have no resistance, on the other hand, you made me laugh with how close the coach and the lady, imagine it all in my mind, jijiji, it's good to have photos that help us remember moments we have lived.

Hahahahaha...Yeah, that coach was just something else to be honest LOL.
Yeah, I am glad to have these memories to look back on.

I think I get the knowing look you received.. lol.

But now, you are free, you can get a swimming coach if you want. And finally learn to swim. And you wouldn't have to risk drowning again. What do you think? 😉

Yeah, you are right heheh...However learning to swim is not at then top of my list, I am so occupied with other things that swimming doesn't even cross my mind.

Good thing you were saved oo.. Story for different now

It sounds like you had fun at the pool!

Yeah, I had fun.

I am guessing the smell is the chlorine that you don't like.

I'm not sure what it was but you may be right.

Yep I am right
