Morning Routine And Yesterday's Duty As A Barista.

in Weekend Experiences5 months ago

Everyday we have our own routine every morning and we do it before going to work. It is a must thing to do and we can't settle down when we can't execute it.
Each of us has our own agendas and I hope that you did it today.

How are you friends? It's Sunday again and last weekend for the week. Hoping your day went well yesterday and today so far.

My work requires me to be at the shop at 8 am, its 1 hour before the opening and it became my routine since I started as a barista.

Last week Monday we had a meeting with our owner and we discussed a lot of things, she reminded us also about the quality of customer service we are giving plus she changed our day offs already since we observe that during weekend Saturday has the most customers than Sunday.
So I had my duty yesterday and today's my rest day.

I woke up early and executed my daily routine but before that let me flex this one.

My girl, Manda that's been with me before but she's with a guy now haha.

I got out of my bed and went out since I heard the sounds of our chickens already. We have chicken that has chicks now and I feed them every morning as soon as get up.

When I feed them I'm hoping that they will grow healthy because its rainy season again and when the weather is like this their immune system weakens.

We have so many cases of chickens that got ill and died already that's why we're preventing it by giving them foods and vitamins that can help them as they grow.

That's my Karding, the one that I rescued before the typhoon Karding last year. He's the dad of those chicks hihi. Well his efforts in courting those hens paid offs already.

It rained a little that night and the rain drops that was caught in things around our house got my attention.
I tried to capture some of them so here they are.

A creature also got my attention and captured a picture of it. This spider is not that friendly one and it can fade away anytime but gladly that I got a good shot of it.

After all of that I went to the shop already and been busy again.

A lot of customers came to the shop from the graduation of one school here near our shop. Memories when I'm still studying flashed back and brought smile to my face.

My first espresso yesterday was this Iced Americano ordered by our regular customer who works out in a gym.
They are a couple who orders the same almost everyday and they said that our shop has the cheapest Americano but the better one among the coffee shops around here in town.
We're glad to hear it that's why we always give our best in brewing their coffees. What's in it should be in it no matter what.

We had a lot of espresso but sometimes when there's a power outage we can't serve one. Our owner is planning to use a Moka Pot in times like this but we're still learning how to do it online.

It's so hot outside yesterday but that didn't last long, after 30 minutes after I took that photo, heavy rain poured down and as what I said earlier, a power outage occurred.

Heavy rain is one of the cause of power outage here in our town. Maybe it's a preventive measure to ensure the safety of everybody.

Before the outage we were lucky enough to make the order of our customer which needs an espresso.

It's one of our new series in Espresso which the combination of matcha and a shot of espresso called Dirty Matcha.

After that, inside the shop went silent and we just heard those thunders and watched the lightnings as it strikes outside.

As you can see the heavy rain almost made a pond in front of our shop.

Our customers were stranded and waited for the rain to stop but at the same time they ordered repeatedly.

The black out lasted for 3 hours and when the power came back, what a surprise that our statue at the high table went above the tissue box.

The power came back but the rain was still pouring down and some creatures came inside the shop such as those tiny grasshopper.

I took a picture of one creature that landed in my hand called "simot-simot" in Ilokano , "gamo-gamo" in tagalog and termite in English but they have wings already.
These so called termites comes out at night during rainy seasons and they are attracted in lights that's why they came inside our shop and even here our home when I got home.

Speaking of creatures, I discovered group of ants that were having a feast around the drop of fructose.
I took a picture of it but for real I had a hard time taking it since they are very small.
It took me some time and the end result just amazed me as I zoom the photo. Just wow!

And that's what happened yesterday and thank you for reading up to this far.
Great evening to all.

Cheers to Life...
