Quinceanera is a Latin American celebration of a girls 15th birthday. Its a celebration of a girls transition from childhood to adulthood.
I have always heard of it, but I have never experienced one. I heard that it's a very big celebration, almost like a wedding celebration.
This weekend, we got invited to one of our close friends daughters 15th birthday/ quinceanera.
I was excited to finally see how the quinceanera is celebrated and its tradition.
I was pretty surprised of how beautiful this whole celebration was. It was just like a wedding. Everything was so ogranized and so much work and effort went into this preparation of this beautiful event.
The quinceanera had 4 girl and 4 boys entering the room first, before the birthday girl. Just like the brides maids and best man at the wedding.
And the the birthday girl came in the room. Everyone was blown away, by her gorgeous dress and how beautiful she looked. She really looked like a princess.
Right after her entrance, the birthday girl had her waltz dance with her big brother, which was so beautiful.
After a few presentations etc, was food time, which was very delicious.
After all this dicious food, it was time for the birthday girl to dance with her father, which brought tears to almost everyone at the party. It was such a very special moment. I couldn'd stop crying, mostly because the birthday girl was crying and the dad was trying to stay strong not to cry, but it was a very emotional and special moment.
Now it was the fun part; dancing time, and there was also a photo booth set up, which was busy all night with everyone taking fun pictures.
There was a small break from dancing, where the birthday girl did another very special and beautiful presentation, which I really loved.
There was a small, beautifully decorated station with I believe it was 15 candles. The birthday girl had to share her most meaningful 15 people in her life and why she is grateful for them and when she called the special people in her life, they had to come up and light one of the candles.
This was also a very emotional and beautiful presentation which brought even more tears.
The birthday cake was also so very beautiful.
And of course there was a lot of more dancing and partying, which I have not done in a very long time.
Like I said, I was totally not expecting this celebration to be as big and organized as it was. It was very, very beautiful and special event, and I feel very blessed to be part of it.

Ohhh, there something like that, I only know about Debut here in Philippines which celebrated at 18 years old.
Anyways this looks a big celebration, teens surely lobe how they celebrated it especially it was prepared by their family.
Oh wow. I had no idea that you celebrate Debut in Philipines.
Sounds exciting.
In Latin culture Quinceanera is pretty big.
Thank you for your visit @ruffatotmeee
The celebration looks so grand. The birthday celebrant looks so beautiful too in her dress!
I only heard (now) of this celebration on the 15th birthday of a girl. Do you also celebrate the 18th birthday or a debut of a girl?
Yes. I was very surprised how big the celebration is and how beautiful it is.
I believe that quinceanera is the only celebration for the girls in Latin culture.
Here in Canada, we celebrate Sweet 16 for a girl, but its not as big as Quinceanera.
