Being a tourist in my own garden, watching change photographing life on the move, one can never be bored.
In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks. – John Muir
Just yesterday I noticed this tiny, what I thought to be a butterfly, on researching this morning quite the contrary...
This butterfly-like in shape (not quite a butterfly or moth once enlarged slightly), wing span: approx 2 cm, surfing the web I reached conclusion this could be the Ricaniidae planthopper. Nature offers us such variety, never heard of this type of insect let alone finding one in the garden on a Croton shrub.
Nurture Nature She Knows Best What purpose it fills, I have no clue, pretty for sure and tiny. (Photo is cropped and sized to upload.)
It's so easy to pass over the smaller things of nature for the larger, expansive vistas, elephants and the like...But there's a whole world just out of sight and when delved into can be just as interesting.
Funny that you quote John Muir in this comment as I did the same in my last post: https://hive.blog/hive-166408/@galenkp/what-lies-at-the-end
