Have you encountered a twin falls before? Well, if not, I will show you mesmerizing twin falls we can only find in our local area.
Together with my hike buddies, Ma'am Smile, Ma'am Marfe, and her daughter, Ixie. We found a place where we could be ourselves, where hiking was our bonding moment during weekends, and we had unlimited laughs we made after cracking jokes. A memorable time we spent at Banghitawan Falls, San Remegio, Cebu.
Ma'am Marfe suggested going back to Banghitawan Falls so we could witness how magnificent the falls are. So, during the weekend, we embarked as early as we could and brought some food so that if ever we were hungry, we had something to eat. We hired a motorcycle to bring us near the falls, and little did we know, the area where supposedly our way to the falls had become a farm.
It has full-grown eggplant and sees the farmers harvesting its fruits. I wonder why they had grown eggplant here when there's no supply of water here. As soon as we reached the river, it answered my questions. They have a machine to pump water through a tank and supply the plantation. The vibrant and healthy eggplant doesn't have an assurance to produce a healthy fruit too, since the farmers have to categorize them according to their size, whether it's small, medium, or large.
As we went further, the cascading flow of water seems leading to our destination. I savored every moment I stepped in since this was our comeback hike after a few months of hiatus. So far in the history of our hike, we haven't encountered snakes or alligators since we were crossing the forest and river. Still, God is with us🙏.
I can almost see the falls we've been going to. According to my calculations, it is approximately 20 20-minute hike from the farm to here.
Banghitawan Falls🍃
Banghitawan Falls is located in the remote area of San Remegio, Cebu. It became unique because of its twin falls. Common falls have only one path of water falling, but this fall has two! It's unique, right? An awe-inspiring creation of nature has been an inspiration to many. Just by looking at it, I can say that it's all worth the walk!
The cascading emerald green water tempts us to go under its falling water, yet we can't go there. It's deep, and none of us is a swimmer, hehe. It has been one of the tourist spots here in Cebu. I saw the news on a certain page on an online platform. It's intriguing, and we're enticed to come here to witness how beautiful it is.
A posing of the three of us.
Of course! I can't leave this mesmerizing twin falls without me striking a pose! Hehehe
Let us love our mother nature like we take good care of ourselves. It's our responsibility here on earth. I'm glad that even the LGU has control of this, but still, they allow people to come here without any fee. We, hikers, should leave footprints, not traces.
That's all for today hivers! Take good care of yourselves since there is another virus on the news. Keep safe!
Toodles ☺️😉!
Oh, wait! We bought eggplant when we passed at the farm. Lesser price compared to the market.🫰
