I can't imagine how I survived this mountain looking back at these photos. It was a mixed emotions of excitement, fear, tired, and fulfillment. Of my entire hiking journey, I rate it 10/10, why? Because it's CHALLENGING! I'm not saying that my other hikes were easy but this one incredibly holds top one in my heart.
Allow me to express my warmest welcome to my blog and it's my pleasure to share this to you my most challenging hike particularly in Mt. Licos, located at Danao City. Specifically in the mountain barangay of Danao, however there are part of it claimed to be Carmen but whatever it is, here we go!
Ma'am Smile and Ma'am Honey were here few months before we visited here. They have been telling me how challenging it was and I get curious about it. And now, I witnessed how it was going. From imagination to reality it is!
We embarked as early as we can so can catch motorcycles from the main city. As soon as we ride the motorcycle, we immediately pulled the trigger so we can have our lunch at the top. I feel excited as we started to walk. Every step I took, I made sure this gonna be a memorable one. Until we crossed I think almost a 90 degrees slope which was a challenging one. It took my breath away! However, the challenge must be accepted. Hehe.
See that!??! What a perfect hurdle!!! As I cling unto the small branches of a certain plant. It feels like I'm Tarzan of Africa!! Haha. Dried leaves seems an obstacle too! Fell on the ground until it combined with another, and when we step on to it, it slides our shoe resulted to out balance, and that what happened to our company. Despite of what happened, he's still looking forward for another hike with us.
Mother nature really is amazing! She never fails to amazed us in every step of the way.
After almost an hour of battling with slopes, sharp rocks, and dried leaves, an incomparable feeling looking from the top of the hill. A peaceful surroundings, only the chirps of birds can be heard, and a picturesque view of the mountain. Such a delight!
Let's be honest here. Would you believe me when I tell you that it's fake?!? I mean, I'm faking my smiles and posture??? Yessss. You read it right!!! Along my journey of hiking, I still have fear of heights!! Like a trembling knees, fast heartbeat and an unexplainable feeling and that's what I felt here. One wrong move and it would kill me! Like yeahhhh! Super duper nervous is killing me. And that's from a negative side.
In a positive side, I would tell THIS IS THE BEST HIKE EVER!!! It rejuvinates my stress week! I've been feeling bloated for 2 weeks and this helps me from that feeling and an instant result came after. Engaging with nature been so unusual to many, however, this must be appreciated to few.
