Birthday celebration is one of the exciting events I find myself attending. It is a reflection of thanksgiving for safe delivery, good health, and divine protection. It was a pleasure to spend my weekend with my family attending my nephew's birthday celebration. It was a remarkable time to gather with my family and friends.
A few of the activities that were done in the event were the birthday cake cutting, dancing competition, eating competition, and singing competition. I was amazed to see my nephew who often acts shy to be active throughout the event. He was able to raise his hand pointing that he is +1 in age. Beside him were his parents and elder brother who guided him in cutting the cake.
The smile of my nephew was the talk of the day because of how contagious it was; furthermore, we had a session to share our unforgettable birthday memories when we were kids. The discussion session ended with the talk on the essence of celebrating ourselves irrespective of the situation we face. I laughed uncontrollably when I saw his older sibling sitting nearby gazing up at him and the cake, possibly wishing he was one that was celebrated.
As seen in the picture, the family came prepared with matching outfits to color the event; the outfit was indicating a sign of love and bond amongst the family. The celebration did not have many activities yet it was full of heartfelt moments. On the table, soft drinks and juice boxes were well arranged alongside the cake to add beauty for some shots. It is a beautiful thing to see other kids joining the celebration of their friend; at the end, they all took pictures together.
As the day went on, the parents were allowed to say something, the mom shared how the pregnancy journey was and moments she felt like giving up because of the pains; but in the end, she was glad for a safe delivery. During the end of the party, there was a dancing session which caused laughter and joy amongst the children and parents in the room. Both those that participated and watched the dancing session were happy at the end. I want to specially thank the parents for the love and sacrifice for their kid, it is something that the baby will love when he sees the pictures later in future. Indeed, the warmth of family and the joy of celebrating a young life made the day truly special.
In conclusion, my nephew's birthday was a beautiful reminder of thanksgiving for life and the importance of family to come together to celebrate an achievement together. The smiles on the children's faces and the shared moments of happiness will be cherished for a long time.
