Hello everyone, good to be here again, given the opportunity to talk about ourselves on this exciting platform @THEWEEKEND. Thumbs up to the admin @galenkp for providing the awareness of the platform on hive.
Literally I'm a guy of many talents, I can equally do alot of amazing stuffs but my favorite of them all is music 🎵, I'm a musician a drummer to be precise. I get to know and understand that my passion is drumming at the early age or let me just when I was at least 5. Most of the time I crave for drums and the funny thing is I do play it in my head while on duty at work, walking on the road sides, even when I was in hight school I'm known for this disturbing the whole class and when I get myself involve in house chores, I'm always practicing and playing it either in my head, making beats with my mouth or just making invisible drumming with my hand while walking on the street.
People tend to tag me as a crazy guy most of the times, they will be look at me with this weird look while walking on the streets making and Playing invisible drums with my mouth and hand.
WHY I ENJOY IT
- I really do enjoy it because it's my favorite, and also passionate about it and because I have a strong passion for drumming it has taken me far beyond my imagination and where I never thought I would go to. I'm always indulge myself in it and I never get tired of it. It gives me joy, and another interesting I discovered while playing drums is that's I don't get tired while playing it and the more I play it the more understanding and improvement I have on it. It feels so good doing it either by playing it, making beat productions or watching other people doing it i.e playing drums.
How I DO IT
- It's very simple, I'll have to get my drums sticks, which are different types of sticks for different sound effects e.g when hitting the cymbals there's this particular stick you can use for it it's called mallet, it gives the great sound when you hit it on the cymbals especially ride cymbals.
And some other drums sticks.
So getting all the drums kit set and ready for play doesn't require much stress at all.
Like getting my - Hi hat
- Snare drums
- Cymbals
- Floor toms
- Toms
- base drums
- Pedal
- Drums sticks
You can see it doesn't require much stuffs and efforts for drumming to take effect.
- It's quite simple because I know the basics of drumming, the rudiments and the my time signatures while playing drums. For me it's not that complex to do due to the fact that I'm a drummer already so it's very easy for me to learn new stuffs on drums.
WHAT I NEED TO DO TO MAKE IT HAPPEN
- I don't really have to stress myself just to play drums, all I need to do is get my personal kits ready for playing, and sometimes I prefer going to studio sessions or church services. Going to studio to play drums can be very stressful sometimes, you have to book for sessions and also paying some studio fees before I can make it happen. Playing drums in church is easy and stress free due to the fact that I'm a member in my church and also a musician in my church so, it's like a free access for me whenever I want to play drums or rehearse and work on my skills in my church. I think making it happen is not really a hard thing except for the booking of studio sessions.
- I'm well known for it and I do get gigs and drums shows so, the making it happen isn't really a big deal for me. I use to get 2 to 3 shows invites for shows, musical concerts and rehearsals session with my colleagues. That's one of the interesting thing about it. When you have recognition for what you love doing it's the best feeling ever.
Nothing much is really required to get involved in it, once you have all what it takes to make it happen, like developing passion for it and also making time for it. I derive joy whenever I'm playing drums. You know when you have joy in you it always feels like you are on top of the world and everything is going well for you at the moment. I love my hobby so much and the best thing is I have the full support of my parents. At first it wasn't easy because they never believe it would turn out like this but when they discovered the passion and the joy I always derive from it they concluded in their heart and mind that they will surely do everything in their power to support me with everything they have. Thanks to them I'm who I'm and what I'm today. Thank God I have them as my parents never would have asked for more because they are supportive in every they can. My hobby is my life and I'm grateful for it and also grateful for the gift of life.
I do use to say this follow your passion and success will surely follow you. Regardless of whatever thing that makes you happy and you know you have passion for the stuff just follow the path, set your goal right and I assure you success will surely be yours.
