Saturday night is the right time to spend the start of the weekend together with friends and neighbors who we rarely see even though we live in the same neighborhood. Being busy with work and different activities is the reason we rarely see each other even though our houses are close to each other. Two days before the weekend we had mutually agreed that Saturday night we would gather at one of the residents' houses, whose house was also not far from my house.
Starting at 19.30 after the Isha prayer we started arriving one by one until finally at around 20.00 we had gathered. There is nothing special about our time together. The owner of the house only provided tables and benches with tea and coffee and some snacks to accompany our gathering. About 10 people from young people to old people gathered together to just let go of their longing and increase the closeness between us.
In my opinion, there was something special about our gathering, namely that the owner of the house provided a sound system in the form of a mic and computer equipment for our entertainment while drinking tea and listening to music. My friends who have a talent for singing tried karaoke to entertain us while drinking tea that night. This is truly a fun reunion event. It turns out that it is not delicious food that can please the heart, but the sense of togetherness and familiarity has made us feel at one with the environment where we live.
Time continued to pass without realizing it was already 23.15 it was time for us to rest and sleep. Finally, before we returned to our respective homes, we planned to gather every month in the first week, with the gathering place moving from house to house. Hopefully what we have planned will go according to plan so that a sense of kinship and togetherness is maintained in the environment where we live.
Thank you to all friends who have stopped by my post. Hopefully this post can provide inspiration for friends who rarely get together because of their busy schedules. In my opinion, occasionally we should gather with people who live in the same environment to foster a sense of togetherness and family.
