I don't understand why people start ignoring basic human values in their interactions

Hi Hive Lovers

Nowadays, many things have changed, one of which is politeness when interacting with other people, and this has really shifted the values of kindness in our social order.

I don't understand why people have lost genuine interest in their face-to-face interactions, and the result is that people will lose mutual respect. In the end, it will destroy our social order. causes us to lose our basic values as human beings.

everyone has the ability to show courtesy, respect, and use good manners." What he conveyed is a general phrase that applies universally in all parts of the world. You can see it in his previous post.Mr. @galenkp once said in our short chat that "

I really believe that people will treat you the way you treat others. That means people will be very polite and show us respect if we also treat someone politely and respect them, and vice versa.

Mr. Galen said that manners are contagious. It is true. A good attitude will spread, and a bad attitude will also spread. But currently, what is spreading the most is bad attitude and a lack of courtesy in interactions.

Our current situation is full of selfish and other foolish behavior based solely on the individual's right to act as they see fit. On the other hand, it has ignored the basic right of others to be treated with respect and kindness.

If you care

Are you willing and able to accept that your own children don't pay attention to you when they talk to you? Or are you interested in chatting with people who are busy on their phones and not fully paying attention to you?

Nowadays, people so easily open their cell phones when other people are talking. Mobile phones have truly succeeded in "bringing people far away." But it has actually succeeded in "keeping close people away" without us realizing it.

... and I hate it when my wife or my children are busy with their cell phones while at the dining table or in the living room of our house.

Another example: a couple doesn't talk to each other when they are in bed because they are enjoying interacting in cyberspace via their cell phones.
Because of their inability to control the manners in their interactions, many couples' relationships become bland and damaged.

Another example is someone who is busy with his cell phone while at a gathering with friends, like the one in my photo.

Another example is someone using their cell phone while at a place of worship. What's on that person's mind?

I could give many other examples of bad behavior that could make this article too long to read, but I won't do that. You can easily find examples of shifting manners in our society.

Let's fix it

We can still improve everything; we can start with the smallest unit in the structure of our society, namely our own family. Families are our independent territory. We cannot manage someone who is outside of us, but with our own family members, we can build a commitment to always be polite, respectful, and use good manners.

Technically, in the case of mobile phone use that I have stated above, there are rules that we can apply, for example, the use of mobile phones (other than for making calls) only at certain times or in certain spaces.

Furthermore, we can bring these manners into our interactions with other people outside our family. When talking or interacting with other people, we have to "hide" our cell phones, and even to answer cell phone calls, we have to ask permission as part of the simplest of manners.

The courtesy, respect, and good manners that you start with yourself or with your family will rub off on your neighbors, friends, and many others. And it starts with yourself, with your spouse, and with your children.

You are absolutely right, the cell phone brings us closer to people who are far away but distances us from those who are closer to us.

It should be a new rule to restrict the use of cell phones in meetings and parties, it can not be that there are no topics of conversation to spend a pleasant time with friends, family or partner.

But it is true, starting by oneself with the example and training at home.
