As humans, we all have things we feel we should be entitled to—things that, based on our efforts, responsibilities, or simply our rights, we believe we deserve. For me, there are certain things I strongly feel entitled to, not because I think the world owes me anything, but because they seem fair and reasonable.
Support and Guidance from My Parents
The first thing I feel entitled to is support and guidance from my parents, especially while I am still in school. I know that at my age, I should start learning to fend for myself, and I do. I don’t just sit around waiting for them to provide everything—I engage in different activities, like writing on Hive and other side hustles, to earn money and contribute to my own needs. But at the same time, I am still a student, and my main focus is my education..
My parents brought me into this world, and part of their responsibility is to make sure I have what I need to complete my education successfully. That doesn’t mean I expect them to do everything for me, but I do believe that, as long as I’m still studying, I should be able to rely on them for certain things, especially when it comes to school-related expenses. Beyond financial support, I also feel entitled to their guidance. Life as a student comes with challenges, and having parents who can advise and direct me when I’m unsure about things is something I truly value.
Fair Treatment in Society
Lastly, I strongly believe I am entitled to fair treatment as a human being. No one should be treated as less important simply because they don’t have money, influence, or a certain social status. We are all human, and we all deserve respect.
Unfortunately, the reality of society doesn’t always reflect this. Sometimes, people look down on others just because they are less wealthy or influential. But in my opinion, that shouldn’t be the case. I don’t care if someone is richer, more powerful, or more connected than I am—at the end of the day, we are both human. Under the law, we are equal, and that should reflect in how people are treated. Everyone deserves basic respect, fair opportunities, and equal recognition in situations where fairness matters.
At the end of the day, feeling entitled to something isn’t always a bad thing when it’s based on fairness and effort. I don’t believe I should just be given things for no reason. Instead, I believe that when I am still a student, I should be able to rely on my parents for support. And as a human being, I deserve to be treated fairly just like everyone else.

I disagree with you here. Respect needs to be earned, it's not something a person deserves simply for being a human; there's many humans who do not deserve it.
Yeah I admit I was wrong there. Respect is earned and not given. You are very much right. Thanks for the correction.
Not a correction, just my opinion and you are allowed to have you own even if it differs.
Yeah I totally understand but at the end of the day I agree with your opinion. Not everyone deserves to be respected even as a human being.
