MY FIRST AID SKILL

in Weekend Experiences7 months ago

First Aid is an immediate treatment given to a sick person before the arrival of a qualified doctor.

I'm not a doctor nor a medical professional. In short , I have nothing related to medicine in a graduate of mechanical engineering so no first aid foundation but over the years I have grown to witness such emergency conditions and how to overcome them and In one or two cases I have applied them and it worked out well. I will also give thanks to my lectures for the knowledge of the basic first aid taught in school and has also been helpful.

This week's prompt demands that we talk about our first aid skill and how efficient it is, i.e If we can administer it to family members if the case demands it, for me I will say it depends on the situation, if it is something I have come across or have learnt I will be able to administer it but then I wouldn't expect anyone to bank on me for always administering first aid in every emergency situation as my first Aid skills are limited to situations I have encountered only and since I'm not a medical personnel I don't expect much expectations.

Most of the skills I learnt were from my school days when students will faint, those that have asthma and some other cases which I tried to stay around to see how they were being cared for by professionals or students in the first aid department and that is how I learnt the little I know.
So I will conclude by saying my first aid skills are not best but I will definitely try my best.
