Draw/paint yourself at work doing your job. (Shit drawings are acceptable, you don't have to be an artist, it just has to be your work.) Also, explain the drawing/painting. Use a photo of your drawing or painting as your post image.
I have been on this since yesterday when I saw the weekend prompt questions dropped but I was a bit confused about which is the question to answer, as I felt like answering the first and last prompt question but after much thinking, I decided to go for this one.
I am a teacher by profession and a fashion designer, maybe I should have drawn myself doing my teaching job but I would choose to draw myself doing my tailoring job and that's because I love what I am doing. It is a passion over a career, it doesn't mean I don't love my teaching job but it is more about what I enjoy doing, my hobby, and see myself being creative about it.
This excitement comes when I am on the machine trying to make an outfit out of a cut material and it has been an amazing journey so far, even though hard one because learning something is crucial at this stage of mine and with a job that does not give me the full time to be present as I wish to be is hectic.
Good thing I am a fast learner and good thing we have a break, so I tend to use my break or holiday period to learn as much as I can now because, once school resumes, I will not have the time anymore. I am glad that when I had the passion to go into this, I had people who encouraged me to do it even though I had a tight schedule and I am glad my boss understood me and helped me learn at my pace.
Although not perfect, still make mistakes, and still ask questions where necessary but so, far, it has been an amazing journey. So, this is me in this picture asked by my boss to draw and cut this material, so I can sew a shirt out of this material for a customer.
Although I have not yet sewed and may probably finish sewing tomorrow because, from Monday, I will not be available in the shop due to some duties I have to do in school about the school resumption that is getting closer.
Sewing had always been a passion for me because I loved the creativity that comes with it but I didn't think I was going to be fulfilling that dream of mine now, especially how hard and busy my teaching job has made it but here I am and I am always excited doing it.
Every day, I am always surfing the Internet looking for ways to make something or do something out of the normal because I believe that is what sewing entails and it makes me stand out when I am doing something out of the usual, out of the box.
This is my entry to Weekend-Engagement topics: WEEK 221

While I was reading I started to go over it in my mind and I don't know many male fashion designers where I live, maybe one or two that I have met their work on some TV show. What a good skill. Of course you have to improve yourself every day, inspiration can also come from anywhere.
👋
Thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it.
You're welcome.
