You potty minded people... SMFH
So I am sitting here this Saturday afternoon in N.FLA.(usa) Taking a break from this days "First."
Thinking about all the firsts. Even after 54 years on this Hot Rock with a cooling exterior called crust and layers of tectonic plates.
There are soooo many things I have yet to do and many I will never get to.
Todays First...
The above photos are my first. A first I should have done over thirteen years ago when this house was built.
That cat photo is just so I did not have a post with no KrazzyKitz in it. Gotta have Kitz.!!
I have never cut holes in the side of any of our homes. The mancave also. I am installing vent fans. They are wired to thermostats set at 120° F. / 48.88889°C.
Both this house and garage (man cave) have Ridge Vent but no inlets to help move the air inward and out the peak.
We should see some improvement with the cooling (electricity) as the AC will not have to work late into the night to compete with an attic oven.
And as for that...

That is a 41 year old story... On a blanket, down by a creek, on a warm summer day. It was actually not a bad experience for either of us... ( No, not my sister or mom ya smart ass)
Hey thanks for √ in this little post out. Now I gotta get back up on that ladder and tempt fate on the other end of the house and install the vents for the fan to draw cool air into the attic. Yep, two more holes cut into our house. Maybe that old C.B Radio handle and Hive username I went with does fit nicely after after all.?
DId you eventually come down the ladder?
I do so much around the ranch here with that Kubota tractor.
I would be lost without it. Tree trimming. Fire Pit dug for burning brush. Cleaning out gutters...
Brush hogging, I used it to lift the whole back half of a dodge pickup truck last week. Pulled the bed off with it. Used the bucket to pull a few engines.
Dug the pond...
I do come down out of the bucket to sleep... LoL
I bet you just dug that hole for fun 😁, there were no pond.
To be fair, I think if you put a cosy blanket and pillows in there, you could easily sleep in it.
Oh I did dig a big freakin' hole. (1/4 acre)
And it was a blast...
No Rest for the Wicked...I will sleep when I am dead...
Indeed I knew what the end result of said hole would be, living in a tropical zone and all...
It looks truly magnificent!
I know where Florida is, I've been there. It's a red state, wait! That's not what this is about.
I know they have extension ladders there, don't tell me they don't! What in the real fuu?! Send that one to OSHA, the ol' rickety aluminum ladder in a bucket trick. That and I was gonna say (you used a lot of parenthesis) something else but I don't remember.

Ladder in bucket...Fucking safety first, that's for sure! Lol.
I think in that second shot of you up the ladder the tip of your schlong is visible. Just saying.
Also, smart to get some exhaust-action up in the roof cavity, should make a huge difference to how efficiently the AC works.
If you pinched to zoom on that photo, then you were touching my schlong...

That's some MacGyver shit right thar!
I'm thinking you take better care of your tractor hydraulics than I ever have... The bucket on mine always had a 'droop' to them after only just a few times of heavily overloading the thing. Anyway, I don't think I ever had a tractor that I'd have done that ladder trick with. Just sayin'
But a pretty legitimate first or two there. I thought that the sayin' out in your part of the world was "If she ain't good enough for our family how'll she ever be good enough for somebody else?"
"The bucket on mine always had a 'droop' to them after only just a few times of heavily overloading..."
You saying I am too heavy for my bucket...
