Your sister was right about entering the digital world, it's the new oil but she was wrong for trying to push you into the world of programming.
Writing and teaching are also digital skills, it's not restricted to programming alone and I know some people who are making thousands of dollars as a content or copy writer on Upwork. I'm glad that you've decided to take a course to become a better blogger, you already have a passion for it and that alone will make it a lot easier for you to handle.
