It's a hot 91°F weekend and me and my wife went to the beach this morning to buy fish for our lunch at a village fish port about 3.5 miles away from home.
The beach is full of activities as it is near beach resorts where many people from neighboring places spent their weekend vacation in the cottages that dotted the shoreline and most of them go to the beach for a dip or simply to stroll and to have a breath of fresh ocean air.
As we walk toward the buying area, take photographs along the beach as the view of the beach with its clean water and wide shoreline is so picture perfect and I love to photograph rural scenes such as this, simple yet very pleasing to the eye.
Upon reaching the buying area, we have to wait for the fishermen who have available catch for sale to the public as the fisherman who arrived on the shore already sold his catch to a middleman. While waiting, I continue to take a few clicks of the events that is taking place at the fish port.
Then a boat arrives! As the boat move towards the shore, a group of men approached it to assist the fisherman to carry the boat to its docking area.
The sight have a very symbiotic aura in nature as the men have to carry the boat with their full strength to bring it on the shore. Then as a gesture of goodwill, the fisherman will give these men something that they will bring home for their consumption depending on the fisherman's catch, if the fisherman happened to have a small amount of catch, it will be okay for these men because they believe that in the next day, the fisherman will be having enough catch and that will be the time that they will be receiving some from him.
At last, here's the boat we are waiting for! The fisherman called us and the rest of the buying public to offer us his catch for the day.
We bought a kilogram of scad fish locally called in our place as "galunggong" or "bulilit" that is excellent for frying or sauteed with garlic and ginger then we headed for home.
While we are aboard the motorcycle, we felt a hunger as it is already past eleven o'clock in the morning so we dropped by at a noodle house not far away from the fish port to have a taste of their beef ramen.
Then we ate and enjoy each other's company like it's the first time we have seen each other again. To set the record straight, these are one of the memories we had upon the lifting of lockdowns as situation normalizes after the not-so-famous pandemic scare, and that is the first weekend that we are able to go out together. I'm looking forward that the situation keeps on improving though there are again news of infection incidents in some places so that there will be more weekend that we can spend outside our homes. Keep safe and stay well. Happy weekend everyone!
it is very delicious noodles, I so want to try it
