Hello my dear Hive readers, I hope you are well. Today I want to tell you about my experience over the weekend, working hard with a great team to carry out a great event that has been held for 20 years in my city of Maracaibo - Venezuela, the Great Vigil "Dawning with Christ", whose motto this year was "GOOD NEWS"; in a world where we see that society is declining in terms of principles and values, where there are wars, evil, famines and so many things, we wanted to highlight the good things about living and that there is still hope. It was a night full of great blessings for everyone and I want to share it with you here.
Days before, the audiovisual or multimedia media team met, each of us contributing our ideas about the movement or management that we would give on the networks announcing the event; so the ideas arose of carrying the image that announced the countdown in the mornings as every year, but this time accompanying it with videos that would capture people's attention. I participated in some of them and I enjoyed it a lot, since it is something that I like everything related to the media and acting; so we put a lot of encouragement and energy into this project.
And then, on the 17th, the moment so long awaited by everyone and even by other Christian congregations in the city arrived, the great Dawning with Christ vigil that would no longer be just in our community or held only in our church, but has expanded to other municipalities of Maracaibo, in San Francisco, El Moján and so on... Meanwhile, in the congregation to which I belong and am actively serving the Lord, as in previous years I was working in the protocol area as customer service giving the best smile and service; but this time the media area was added; this also allows me to meet and serve special guests who were present from the music, dance and pastoral guilds.
It was a very nice night, but it required a lot of hard work, before, during and after... And yes! We had to be creative from the decoration to the audiovisual planning; a night of work and being aware of the smallest things, but we enjoyed being part of serving. I must highlight the video made at the beginning where bad news appeared about things that have happened in Venezuela over the years and then we gave it a twist with a hopeful message, with promises from the Bible, full of GOOD NEWS (like the name of the event) It was impressive! Extremely professional! Each one of those present was enjoying this, which represented only the beginning of everything that was to come throughout the great night.
Social media was fully active with live broadcasts of all the programming where even people outside the country, from abroad, could see everything that was prepared for this great night of vigil. The night went by between several presentations until at night, already 15 minutes to 3 in the morning, the electricity went out, which made it impossible to carry out the rest of the presentations; therefore, the work teams were given a snack where we enjoyed two delicious hamburgers and a soda each, and the people present at the event outside the facilities were given tables and chairs to have a delicious soup; of which, I also tried in the early hours of the morning; yes, perhaps it seems that I was a bit greedy, but the demand for activity from the afternoon, night and early morning was great, which led me to have a big appetite.
When you are passionate about something, you enjoy it intensely! It was a night of great blessing where many of the congregations from other sectors and municipalities joined in this vision of watching, of spending the whole night and early morning, until dawn, exalting God and making Maracaibo an altar of lit worship and prayer.
