In the foggy Carpathians... Unforgettable experience (EN)

Hi friends!
Yesterday was a sad day in our country. Again shelling, again rockets on our power plants and residential buildings. Yesterday, 10 people died and more than 30 were injured in Kyiv and the region from shelling by the Russians! Let's remember that the war continues.
In my city in the western region of country, the lights were turned off again, because a rocket hit the power plant. We sat without water, heat and the Internet for several hours. Besides, I have a cold. Because of this, I could not finish my article. I've been dreaming of sharing memories of this interesting day with you for a long time!

Mountains have always given me a sense of security, and now during the war this feeling has intensified.

Climbing

It was the end of October... The second month of autumn this year seemed warm. And again, my tireless friend Olya gathered a group for a trip to the mountains. We had only one day and no car. So we traveled by train and depended on the schedule. Forecasters promised 14 degrees of heat and cloudy weather. Therefore, I had premonitions that it might be cold... (I like sunny weather in the mountains).

And here is the sun! Hooray!

We planned to go up on the ski lift and walk down on foot to save time and walk more along the ridge.
However, such an option was not provided, only a full ticket. Well, we want to save money. So, after buying homemade wine at the kiosk, we started our ascent on foot. We chose the widest road. On the left we saw various beautiful hotels. And a lift with single tourists was moving above us...

But at one point the road turned into a real swamp. Because a grader was working there, leveling the surface for the ski track. We could not go further, although it was sad! We went down a little and started the journey anew along a narrower path that also went under the lift. It was marked on the Google map.

But suddenly our path turned into... a stream bed. Oh no. Do we have to go down again? But we went up the stones of the stream. It was beautiful here. Green grass, yellow birches above. The water is gurgling. But going was a little hard.
We must have looked like weirdos. Tourists sometimes waved at us from the lift.

Eventually we got on the normal road. There was a small concrete slab where we stopped and had a snack. (Ahh, I always forget to take pictures of moments like this. Because I'm hungry). Than the tourists on the lift were probably a little jealous of us.

At the top

The higher we climbed, the stronger the wind was. The sun was playing a joke on us. It appeared, then disappeared behind the clouds. However, I was hot from climbing up. And my friends froze. Oh, how difficult the last meters are...

On the ridge, we saw the strange beauty of the autumn mountains. On one side, the mountains seemed to hang in the fog (whether it was clouds, I don't understand). The sun's rays broke through leaden gray clouds. Just look, I don't even want to interrupt the photo with comments.

Visibility was better on the other side and blue sky was breaking through in places.
Now listen to the wind roars.

Having caught a moment of the sun, we took a photos at the observation deck. There were quite few people. Coldly...

Do you know where the tourists hid? To the cafe! You can warm up and eat there.
And here our company split. Artem and Julia went to warm up a bit, and Olya and I decided to go to the geographical top of the mountain. Unfortunately, it was necessary to choose, because the time was a little limited. I love the mountains so much that I didn't feel the cold at all!

Here is our glorious flag, which in the last few monthes became known to the whole world. But unfortunately, the reason for this popularity is sad...

I was here last autumn, in the middle of October. Then the weather was almost summer. But then there were too many people, and now we are here alone.
And there it is, a lonely tree near the top. Someone made stairs and seats there. I remember that last year children used to climb there. And now I can be a child too!

I found a comfortable place to sit. The wind calmed down. But somewhere far away, the configuration of the clouds was constantly changing. The mountains gradually disappeared...
And I would like to sit here for a very long time!

But the world around changed very quickly! Literally in 10 minutes, the beautiful image disappeared and we found ourselves in a thick fog. This is not a wonder in the mountains, but I saw this for the first time. It was mystical, beautiful, and majestic... "Let's stay here a little longer!" I asked my friend. But it's time to go back, because the train won't be waiting for us)))

Artem came just in time to look at the geographical peak and remind us to return! I was constantly walking behind... I was trying to see something in this fog. It was my strange pleasure. Friends looked so beautiful in this landscape. Neither tourists nor workers were there anymore.
5:00 p.m. was approaching and the lift had already started its final descent. Lonely cars could be seen in the fog.

I realized that I didn't have time to rest and I didn't have the strength to go down. But...
The lift turned into a decoration for some kind of thriller. My friends flashed ahead. The only bright spots in this landscape. As always, I had too little time for my communication with Carpathians.

This was interesting weekend experience.

Яка ж наша країна гарна!!! - Найкраща в світі!!! Так багато чудових світлин!!!! А в мене чомусь фото не видно... Не знаю, навіть, у чому справа...((((
