[Week 227] Art museum or miniature golf? (not hard to choose)

1.jpg

Good Friday, Weekend Experiences friends! I hope everyone is starting the weekend off on the right foot. I see the topics this time are quite extreme, full of options, choice and making our own way. At one point I thought about choosing one of each topic, haha It would have been a super combined post of options and variables. But truth be told, I chose my favorite, and many will already know why?

An art gallery or mini golf?

For me, it's not hard at all to decide. First, because I don't like golf very much; besides, in Argentina it is not a common thing, and I don't know those minigolf places that appear in the movies. Maybe it's fun, but clearly the art gallery is my thing. The reasons may sound like a lot of hot air, but mainly it's because I enjoy art, exhibitions, and learning about the circumstances in which the works were created.

In this post I share with you several images of some museums I have visited. There are not as many as I would like, but I have so many pending in the world that, simply, when I have the opportunity, I go to one. It's as simple as that: when no one has a better plan, I propose a museum. If it's an art gallery, all the better! But anything with a historical and even timeless touch holds my interest.

It's no small thing that they exhibit valuable, or even priceless, objects. Also, the discipline with which people behave in museums is something special, as well as the way we interact with the works and their display. The lights, the mystique, the ability to abstract ourselves from the outside world.... It may be raining outside, but inside the museum you are completely immersed in the experience. I think it's a way to connect with the here and now; at least for me, that's what it means.

Whenever I am in the middle of an artistic chaos or blockade, I think of museums. They are those places that freeze on their walls a part of a person's life and work: his creation, his techniques (like painting), and even revolutions compressed in a painting, excellence in details and how each one perceives them. What I like about art is that it is something very personal, like a book: it either interests you deeply, or it tells you nothing. It either intrigues you and generates something in you, or it doesn't awaken the slightest interest in you. That's how I felt when I read the topic.

In my experience, nothing compares to a museum. It's a great outing for a Sunday afternoon, winter or summer, day or night, with friends, alone or on a romantic date. You can take someone because you know they will like it, walk around, meet and get out of your own bubble. The museum, in its name and in everything it houses, offers an infinite number of possibilities. You can find museums of the most classic or the most absurd. All kinds of collections have their beauty, and each one specified in its proper place.

I would also prefer art galleries or museums, as those places have much to offer. The images you have provided are amazing.

Thank you very much for stopping by, and for your nice comment on my photos. I admire museums of all kinds, and whenever I can I make these visits. I'm glad we agree on that! I send you a hug
