If your head fell off and rolled away, would you miss it or do you think you'd be able to live your life without it?
My first reaction is that my neck and back would be cold all the time without my hair stopping the draught. It would be awful in the winter. That said, if one's head fell off and rolled away, it would still be possible to live life without it, though of course, you'd be dead, not alive. You'd be a ghost, like Sir Humphrey Bone below.
He's one of the characters in Ghosts, a BBC TV series. If you haven't seen it before, I highly recommend it. It's about a couple who inherited a big house that is haunted by many ghosts who all died in the house at different periods. The couple can't afford to move out or sell up, and the ghosts are stuck there until they move to their afterlife. To make things funnier, the wife can see and interact with the ghosts but the husband can't, so they all have to learn to live together. America has produced an adaptation, it's currently in season 4. Germany, France, Australia and Greece are all producing their own adaptation.
Sorry, I digress. See the problem with having a head attached to the body? They work together, one thinks the other types and before you know it they've wandered off to Timbuktu.
I wanted to see how I would look if my head fell off, that might help me decide if I wanted to live headless or not. Sadly my phone editor wouldn't let me do it. Make sense, otherwise we'd have a bunch of sickoes creating all these fake sick images all the time.
Then I thought about the pros and cons to live headless or not
Pros
- I would never have a headache or toothache again
- I'd immediately lose a bit of weight without doing any exercise
- Not seeing or hearing anything means I can live in hermit, not bad when I want to get away from people
- The biggest upside is that I could become an influencer. I've even thought of the name @LivingHeadlessLife. I could do videos of me living my headless life and how I overcome the difficulties. I can already see my socials trending
Cons
- If I can't read or talk, how can I engage with my followers on my socials? That could be a problem
- I would have no social life, it would be very lonely coz I can't talk to anyone, watch TV or listen to music
- I like my food, not having a head means I can't eat anymore. Actually, I wonder if I would get hungry 🤔
Balancing everything, I think if my head fell off, I'd definitely pick it back up first. I'd like to be complete even if I couldn't stick it back onto my neck. But I have a solution to that. I got an ultra-cool @worldmappin hoodie that I can use hold my head in place to make sure it doesn't roll off. No one would know I'm headless so I can be normal like everyone else.
And when I do my videos on my new @LivingHeadlessLife channel, I can take my head off, put it in the hoodie so I don't lose it. When I'm done, I'll just put my head back on again. You never know, I might even onboard loads of people to Hive. Everyone would be thanking me. You didn't even need to fund a proposal for that.

Tricky isn't it? I think keeping my head will allow me to see stuff I like, and if my headache gets real bad, I'll just take my head off. Sounds like a good plan

Hahah you know the head part isnt a bad idea just for a day, that ghost movie though reminds me of the movie 13 ghost, the only difference is you can see them putting on a type of glasses and they are hunted, I'll check if i can find this ghost movie on moviebox

Wouldn't it be nice if we could do that and tell our head "Stop being a pain otherwise I will take you off the body!!!" And if they didn't listen we'd put it aside, wait for it to calm down and behave then put it back on again!

LivingHeadlessLife can't travel without the head, I don't think I will be able to get on the plane or even through border control. The hoodie will really come in handy to keep the head in place and conceal things 👍

I think that this topic and your idea about it is quite macabre and surreal, but there is nothing like the galenkp topics and the pros and cons that you have described... they reminded me of the Adams family and the hand that walks alone out there doing its thing... something similar you would do with your head... hahaha
