It's good to be back here this evening. My fellow Hivers, thank you so much for warmly welcoming me to this wonderful platform yesterday. Your words of encouragement meant a lot to me.
There is a saying that goes, "Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are." This is a true fact, not a fallacy, so always be observant when attempting to determine who your friends should be.
If I remember correctly, it was around August 16, 17 years ago, and we had just relocated to our own apartment. I was still a little boy at the time, and I was very tired when we arrived due to the long distance journey, so I had to sleep. I woke up some hours later to the voices of our neighbors and well-wishers, It was at this hour that I met a young man older than me, about 6 years old, whose name was Adebayo Adeoluwa. That day, we got to know each other because he was very friendly. Crazy? Lol! He told me he lives nearby and asked me to accompany him so I could learn where he lives right away.
He paid me a visit the next day and kept me company because I was new in the environment. Since then, I've noticed a Leadership Trait in Him, and I've already concluded that I've seen the type of friend I'd like to move close to.
Afterwards, he came frequently, and I visited him as well, so we became families, and the bond grew, and I really enjoyed the period because it was during the third term holiday.
Vacation was over and I'm yet To register into a school as I was still in a primary school then, He came around visiting on Sunday afternoon and went straight to my parents to tell them about his school. To my greatest surprise, he was able to convince my Dad and I was so happy.
We started going to school and doing things together. He never looked down on me despite the fact that he was a little older than me. He helped me with my homework after school and took me to private lessons on weekends.
My results came out and I had the best result, so as my parent, He was truly a blessing and influenced my life greatly since then I have started to improve dramatically in my academics.
I took my Junior WAEC and passed with flying colors. He saw my results and was overjoyed in the long run. His efforts were not in vain; he persuaded me to pursue a career in science, despite my reservations about core subjects like mathematics and chemistry, and he assured me that he would always come through for me.
Fast forward to when I was writing my final secondary school examination (WAEC), he kept motivating me and stood by me the entire time. My results came in, and I had 8 B's and 2 C's. I applied for Electrical Engineering, and I've been excelling in my studies ever since. Fascinating Right? Yea I'm in my 300Level now and I will Always post my Progress on Here.
GOD BLESS THE DAY I MET ADEBAYO ADEOLUWA CORNELIUS, HE REALLY INFLUENCED ME POSITIVELY.
