My Weekend Stroll: A day of Faith, Bond and Lasting Memories!
Hello dear hivers, I am @marfeatures, and I am back with a new blog. How are you? I hope you are all doing well. For today's "blogserye" (blog series), I will be featuring my weekend experiences from last week. Come join me as I share here with you how my Sunday turned out; just sit back, relax, and enjoy reading my blog.
It was Sunday, no work; it's a great time to reconnect with God; that's why I and my friend decided to visit the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño to pay homage to the holy child. As we went there, I noticed many flocks of devotees; no new ones since the Sinulog Festival in Cebu is fast approaching. The Basilica was notably decorated with the signature colors of Sinulog, which are red and yellow. Truly, the Sinulog fever is on, and I can't wait to experience the festival for the first time, or would it be my first time? Hmmmmm, maybe hahah. I really can't promise to come, but I'm looking forward to it.
Going back to our foremost intention of visiting the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, I then light a candle and whisper my petitions and prayer. Afterwards, we immediately proceeded to the Magellan's Cross, which was just right away from the basilica. Whenever I visit the Basilica, I never really forget to also visit Magellan's Cross. If you want to know more about the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and Magellan's Cross, you can check it on my past blogs.
Indeed, a time spent praising God is truly heartwarming and amazing; it made me feel less burdened and stress-free. No doubt that if you share it all with God, nothing is impossible; he will always hear us even from a distance. If you are praying for something and haven't received what you've asked for yet, don't lose hope. God has his own way of making things work for us; he may be delaying it because he wants it perfect for you, or he has better plans for you, better than yours.
After a quick moment of visiting the church, we also visit the Heritage of Cebu Monument, better known as the Parian Monument. It was indeed a beautiful landmark of Cebu that reminds me of my Cebuano heritage. If you want to know more about the details of the monument, I have uploaded a blog about this place; you can check it out in my past blogs.
After our visit to the Parian Monument, our next and last stop was the Plaza Independencia; there we took some snaps and posed for some times. The view of the plaza was indeed amazing, I enjoyed the greeneries of the surroundings. It is such a perfect place to have a picnic or a date with your loved ones. How about you? Where do you want to spend your weekends, and what are your weekend routines? Share a comment below; I would love to read it.
That's all for now, Hivers. I hope you've enjoyed reading my blog. Help me reach a bigger audience by upvoting, commenting, and reblogging. Have a great day ahead, everyone. See you in my next blog. Bye bye! 👋💗🌷✨
