✨Past✨
Since years ago we started the project of having plants at home, the first of them was the Cornstalk plant, the original has been with us for more than 15 years, and as it is a type of plant that grows quite a lot every 2 years we had to transplant it to a bigger pot, also, when it was close to reach 2 meters high we had to cut its trunk, and the leftover piece we used to obtain a cutting. We repeated that procedure several times so we currently have 4 beautiful Cornstalk plants.
Spanish lime are very popular and loved fruits here in Venezuela, they are sweet and slightly sour tasting, and are characterized by having a rather large seed inside. One day my brother and I came up with the idea of sowing some Spanish lime seeds in a pot we had available to try to germinate them, and as you can see, we succeeded, it is growing big, beautiful and strong.
Our first aloe vera plant came to us thanks to my grandmother, she does have a big yard with a garden in her house and besides a big tree she had different types of flowers and aloe vera plants. As these plants are so prolific my grandmother's yard was full of them, and each time more and more offspring came up. This time it was my mom who came up with the idea of asking her for one of the little ones to plant in a pot in our house, and it is the one you can see in the picture next to her 7 children.
The last plant to come to us years ago was the Bamboo, we have one in a pot and this little one that I took the picture with. The little one is currently in a plastic container with plenty of water, waiting to be placed in a pot with compost.
✨Present✨
As you can see, we currently have 4 types of plants: Cornstalk plant, Aloe vera, Spanish lime tree, and Bamboo plant, all of them are inside the apartment where we live. Most are distributed between the living room and the dining room, while the small Bamboo is in a temporary space in the kitchen of my home. All of our plants are types that grow well indoors with indirect sunlight and watering once or twice a week. This weekend I spent some time lightly watering them, and also wiping the leaves of all of them with a damp cloth to remove the dirt and dust that they had accumulated. In my house we usually do the cleaning procedure once or twice a month.
✨Future✨
As you surely observed in the photos I shared, in the next weekends we have to buy more pots and fertilizer, because it is already necessary to separate the small children of the aloe vera plant so that each one has its own pot, and besides that it is about time to cut 2 of our Cornstalk plants again (they are about to reach the ceiling), so we will surely get 2 or 3 more cuttings 😍. In the future we would love to have more plants, especially cacti, which are quite popular in Venezuela at the moment, they are very small and tender 🥰.

Oh that cornstalk, we have that too and Mom move them a lot of time as they really grow taller, and today, it is taller than me now, And I'm 5'3, gosh. And they are still in front of Mom's store. Same with aloe vera we also have that too.
