When I read this topic, several situations that I have gone through came to mind, and several relatives have gone through, just yesterday I was watching a series with my husband, and they showed a scene of a robbery at a jewelry store, in At that moment my husband tells me: it's incredible that you've gone through something like this at some point, and yes, several years ago, when I was studying at the university, I was about 19 years old, I lived through a bank robbery, it was the bank where I had my savings account, and my parents deposited my allowance there, to help me with my studies.
One morning, before I went to university, I went by the bank, at that time it was called the bank Mi casa, it was in the center of the city where I lived, and I always went to that branch when I got to the bank, there were few people, I stood in line to withdraw the money, and there was a man next to me waiting to be given a few dollars, because he told one of the cashiers that he was going on a trip abroad for a while, he I saw him very happy with his trip, I remember it as if it had been yesterday, while the man was waiting for his money, four very young men with caps and sweaters entered the bank, and in a matter of seconds, one of them took as hostage to the guard, the other to the man who was waiting for his dollars, I remember that he put the gun to his head, while the other yelled: this is a robbery, everyone on the floor,😨.
God, it really was like a movie, I was in shock, I don't think I understood what was happening, I just heard these men screaming, and I thought, this only happens in movies, how can it happen to me, while I was standing, as if frozen, one of the thieves pushed me and threw me on the floor, he pointed his gun at me and said: we said to get on the floor and don't look at my face, everyone looked at the floor, it was one One of the most fearful moments of my life, I had never seen a gun, at that moment I just started crying and praying, I asked God for my life and that of the other people in that bank, the man who was pointing at me realized what that the bank manager had pressed the alarm button, and began to insult her, and to tell the others to stop because the police were coming.
Once on the ground, I did not raise my face, I was just crying, and I only heard them tell the cashier to hurry up with the money, when they already had the money, and they wanted to leave, the bank door had been closed, I don't know If the alarm activated any security, but the fact is that there would not be, and the thieves started shooting, at that moment I thought they could kill us all, the glass took time to break, but it broke, and they managed to escape.
I remember getting up because one of the cashiers helped us, they told us that they had already left, we were all pale, we were crying, and the police arrived a while after the thieves escaped, we had to go to make a statement, to the police, to say yes. we had recognized one of the boys, all this robbery happened in seconds, I think they had time clocked, because they said they had little time left, it was minutes, but for me, it was an eternity, and I remember it like it was yesterday, I couldn't say much, just that they were young, we didn't even have time to see them, because they entered the bank and the robbery started right away. I only remember that they were wearing caps and sweaters, nothing else.
I think this is one of the most terrifying moments of my life that I will never forget, I felt very afraid, and the truth is, I spent several days, afraid, but thank God, here I am sharing my story with everyone.
