Cats or dogs πŸ•πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ’–

Greetings, friends of WEEKENDEXPERIENCES, this weekend's topics are very interesting. I would have liked to participate in all the questions, but I can't stop showing off my pets, so my chosen topic is the following:

Cats or dogs, which do you prefer and why?

Even the question is silly 🀭 obviously cats πŸˆβ€β¬›, or is there any other better pet than them? Well, I don't think so, with their arrogance and elegance they make you fall in love to the point of being their slaves and doing everything the king commands πŸ€πŸ˜‚

Ha ha, Owners of my bed, owners of my social networks, owners of my life, these beings take over everything around them, ha ha, cats are the best pets that can exist, and yes, I had the experience of knowing what it is like to have a dog and I have nothing against them, but nowadays I prefer to have cats.

At one point, when my children were young, I felt it was necessary to have a pet. Children need to know what the love of an animal means. After seeking opinions, we decided to adopt a cute little dog. He came into our lives when he was just two months old. We cared for him, looked after him, and loved him very much. He was with us for only three years, and sadly, someone with a bad heart poisoned him. We suffered greatly with his departure, and I told my children I wouldn't have any more pets because it was very difficult to bear such losses.

After a while, small snakes were emerging from my old home, and I have a strong phobia of this animal. Someone recommended I get a cat. She assured me that just the smell of these animals would scare away the snakes automatically. So I began my frantic search for a kitten. My older sister helped me in this search, and we adopted a cute yellow kitten we named Mau.

I had already experienced what raising a dog was like, then I had to raise this kitten. The change was completely different. While when the dog was small, I had to give him food almost in his mouth, the cat was very independent, even though she was very small, she would simply come and eat.

Regarding grooming, I was very lucky with my dog because he did his business in the yard. Even though he was only 2 months old when I got him, he already had that training. However, I know that many dogs have a hard time learning or understanding that they shouldn't do their business everywhere. This is one of the big differences with cats. You teach them from a young age that their poop smells really bad, and they quickly learn to hide it, whether it's in a litter box or in the yard.

There was also a big difference in the food, while the dog ate a kilo of dog food in a day, the cat would last 15 days on 1 kg of food, the cat slept with me and kept covering me with hair, I wouldn't let the dog get on my bed even though I always had it clean and even had a perfume on it, they always smell like dogs, ha ha how else can I describe their smell 🀭

That smell that makes them stand out and that never goes away, I loved him, I hugged him, I pampered him but after playing with him, I would go and bathe and take off my clothes smelling like a dog, unlike the cats I've had, these never smell bad, they groom themselves constantly and always stay clean.

As for those unwanted animals like snakes, cockroaches, spiders, etc., cats are specialists at scaring them away or hunting them. I think that's one of the things I love most about having cats. I currently have two male cats, already neutered and overly spoiled, and the best part is that they never lose that hunting instinct.

There are times when their prey is very difficult to reach, and I pick them up, and they know and manage to catch the small insect or animal. We're like a great team. They alert me that something is happening, and I help them catch it, ha ha.

Dogs take care of their owners, but who said cats don't? Let me tell you an anecdote that happened to me a few days ago: my cat Negro surprised me 😳. A neighbor's child asked me for a favor to let him climb the wall to get some mangoes from the tree I have in my patio. While I was watching the child on the wall from my doorway, my cat came out and stood beside me and started to growl like a dog. He made a gesture as if he wanted to attack the child. I was surprised, spoke to him, and picked him up to prevent that. A cat attack is quite dangerous, so I couldn't allow it.

My cat was very furious seeing that child on the wall. I think that if the child had tried to enter my patio, my cat would have attacked him. I didn't know about this behavior. This was something unique to my cat Negro; I didn't see it in my previous cats, and it surprised me a lot. But I felt very proud knowing that he wanted to defend me. The same thing happens when animals enter my patio and I look for ways to chase them away, and he also looks for ways to scare them off. It's like we have some kind of connection.

And well, the point is, that maybe there are things you receive from both a dog and a cat, but after having cats, I would choose them a thousand times over. Also, this will depend on what you want this pet for in your life. Here are some advantages of having cats: in terms of raising them, it's much easier with a cat. They are much more independent than a dog. Despite the fact that dogs are a bit easier to train, they need much more space in every sense. While a dog needs you to take it for walks, pet it, and play with it, a cat asks for its own space and plays and entertains itself almost on its own.

Dogs have too much pent-up energy and are often destructive. Adult cats are very calm, spending most of the day sleeping, and are only rebellious for a few hours of the day or night. This will also depend a lot on the routine you establish for your cat. That's one of their great advantages; they are very routine-oriented pets.

Cats are such strong little animals, some evil-hearted people keep them just to hunt mice and don't even feed them and yet they remain faithful to their owners, dogs require a lot of care in their feeding and if something harms them they can be seriously injured, the dog seems to always be hungry, the cat if you feed it well it goes for a long time without eating and doesn't receive food from just anyone.

Cats are mysterious beings. They protect you in a different way than dogs. They seem to know when you feel sad or in pain, and they find a way to accompany you and help you endure it. The connection I have with my cats is magical; through their gaze, I can feel when they are sick, when they are sad, when they have needs, among other things. It's indescribable, and only those of us who have cats will be able to understand it.

And in conclusion, friends, the best pet for you will depend on your lifestyle, personality, and preferences. If you are an active person who wants a loyal companion to accompany you everywhere, a dog may be a good option. On the other hand, if you are a more independent person who prefers a calmer, lower-budget pet, a cat may be a better option, and from both, you will receive the love that you teach it to give. πŸ₯°πŸ’–πŸˆβ€β¬›

And I only told what I remembered about my cats or else I would need to make several posts πŸ˜‚πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆβ€β¬›

I love that you decided to habe a pet to teach your kids how to love animals. That's just sweet and they'll surely grow with a lot of love for them ΰΈ…^β€’ο»Œβ€’^ΰΈ…. On the other hand, people who abuse animals is just so bad. If they don't like them, why not just ignore right? What happened to your dog is really sad. And cat is also a very cute pet. I don't really like cat before, but it change when we started having a cat. I discovered how sweet they can be. But most of the time they are naughty and always hungry. Still, that makes them really lovable. ΰΈ…^β€’ο»Œβ€’^ΰΈ…

I think the same, my friend. I don't understand how there are people who mistreat an animal just because they don't like it πŸ˜”, they don't deserve to be mistreated, on the contrary, animals deserve understanding and good treatment, thanks for commenting, greetings 😊

I totally agree, it's funny, but in my house, my cat is the queen of everything, and we are her mere servants. The cats take over everything. I love your anecdote about how the cat was upset and protecting you from the child on the wall πŸ˜†

And it's incredible but that makes us very happy to know that they are the masters and lords of the house, ha ha, thank you very much for commenting, greetings πŸ₯°πŸˆβ€β¬›

The black on white cat pictures are lovely and my favorite, I needed to tell you hahaha. Thanks for sharing them 😹
