Strawberries...with a cherry twist

Hi everyone! Summer is right here and we can get fruity...or even more fruity than ever because when it comes to me, I enjoy eating fruits in any season. In fact, my body simply asks for fruits after a couple of days if I don't eat any and I usually prefer taking them in the morning, before eating, on an empty stomach. I guess they appeal to my senses for the following meal and you can also feel the fruits' taste without being mixed with other favours.

I like a lot of fruits and it just feels natural to me to have them in my eating routine whenever I need them. Sweets and fruits are not to be missed from the fridge. They just come in my hand when shopping 😄 So, if I think now about what fruits I have in my fridge, I can definitely say there are avocado, kiwi, and blueberries there. Me and my family, we have just finished 6 kilos of cherries lately and I can't wait to buy new strawberries.

Well...I do prefer strawberries for their sweet still delicate favour and I search for them irrespective of the season. Instead of that old saying An apple a day keeps the doctor away, I would say:

Plenty of strawberries on the weekend make your week more delightful.

When you eat strawberries in other seasons than summer, you can come across multiple variations on the actual strawberry. It is both funny and unnatural, but still tasty 👇

You do remark my t-shirt with strawberries, right? 🤣 Another thing I would like to add is how mega good it tastes when mixing strawberries with sour cream and sugar. OMG, it's priceless! 😶 You can also put the same mix in the refrigerator and make ice from it...that's a natural ice cream, maybe not the best considering all sorts of topics you can find on the market, but still a good one.

But what links me more with strawberries is My Strawberry, my gorgeous cat that unfortunately passed away 👇

At first, I wanted to call her Suzy, but my grandma had another idea about it. I was also pissed at first, and also being a teenager, I wasn't that happy about that decision and it didn't sound that good to me. We have here some alcohol drink named like this and I found it like in this sense.

Anyway, my grandmother put this name because Strawberry was found in that period when strawberries started to appear that year. And I do realise now what a special name it was in fact and the idea that it also came with a memory from my grandma.

When eating strawberries these days I do think sometimes of my cat, my grandma, and I try to enjoy the moment instead of getting a bit sad...because summer is young, short, and embracing us with its warmth.

Finally, I did accidentally find this cherry while searching for strawberries 👇

...and I said to myself...that's my explicit cherry 😋 Other ways, I am very practical in other explicit areas of my life and I prefer to eat cherries by myself only. Anyway, I am open to conclusions but I don't embrace them 😁 I bet you didn't understand that clearly what I am saying, but that's totally right because that was my intention.

I have to mention that I have also a good connection with cherries and I am in a strong relationship with sour cherries and quinces if I look back to my childhood memories. There is a lot to say about it. I just want to say that I use to have in the garden of my building a quince that has been planted by my family and it stayed there for some generations and now there is still its descendant there.

So guys, have a great summer and many fruitful weekends!
