A walk through the gallery

Every weekend I like to do something different, it's true that sometimes it's worth staying at home watching TV and ordering food, that's very valid and many people deserve it. But I usually like to get out of the house, do something outside, no matter if it's just walking in a park or in a shopping mall, riding a bike near home or on the road, if I get out of the house I'll be satisfied.

I confess that I don't usually visit galleries unless I am invited, but I like to admire art. Several Sundays ago I visited a gallery in San Miguel de Allende, called Exim Galería.

This gallery has collections of art pieces by different Mexican artists from small pieces to large sculptures.

The slogan of the gallery is "The art of provoking emotions" and according to it they choose very well the pieces they present, taking into account that they are handmade, with textures and colors that transmit the passion, emotions and feelings of the artist.

You can learn more about this gallery on their website.

It was good to get out and take this tour, the art pieces were spectacular and the paintings fascinated me, I really admire the dedication that each artist puts into their pieces, you can see the hard work and time spent on each one.

I took many pictures, but I think that if I share them all here I would never finish the post, because I took them with my cell phone and I make small adjustments in photoshop to make them perfect.

The gallery is small, it doesn't take more than an hour to appreciate all the pieces, after that we continued walking through the streets of the city to finish having a coffee, honestly it was a dynamic afternoon, I like it when my Sundays end like that.

By the way I didn't buy any pieces I really have a gypsy life, I move frequently so I can't collect anything except memories and pictures.

I hope your Sunday was different and but most of all that you enjoyed it.

@galenkp I am embarrassed! excuse me! I always read the rules when I share in a new community. I had already shared here and made my post bilingual, I didn't read that the rules had changed. Sorry again!

Don't be embarrassed, it's not a big deal, I'm just letting you know. I need to ensure the community appeals to everyone and it was beginning to resemble a Spanish community, which it is not, hence my change of the rules.

I am ashamed because I like to enforce the rules in the community where I am mod and I come here to breach them. No Spanish, I get it. 👍

Hello @mballesteros

I'm generally not a big fan of art galleries because often the curators taste and mine are worlds apart and they sometimes showcase some questionable things as art...however this collection is really nice and a lot of time and effort went into each art piece and how they are grouped. A very nice selection I think.

Thank you for brightening my morning with this post.

Hi @Andrastia, I consider myself an art illiterate, I like to admire everything related, but I would not know how to judge what is an art and what is not. I don't visit galleries much either but I found this one in particular fabulous because of the variety and the colors. I will surely keep visiting the ones that cross my path.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a nice day.

Hi @mballesteros

Thanks for your reply, oh don't get me wrong - I know sweet zero about art and how arty people judge it because sometimes I look at things they rave about and the question "what kind of drugs are you on??" crosses my mind, but then they also say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" so art means different things to different people.

I think you found yourself a great one though, I hope they continue to add fun and exciting pieces to their exhibits.

Have a lovely weekend yourself 😃

Yay! 🤗

What a brilliant art gallery. Many art exhibits I find boring, but this one looked fantastic. What a great way to spend your Sunday!

Thank you so much @choogirl! It is an honor to be on such a prestigious list. I will always be including my rides on the @pinmapple map. 😉

Although the gallery is small, the art works are very beautiful. My favourite is the painting and artwork of butterflies
